March 13, 2015 marked the 34th birthday of Sheila Morton. The Huntington-area woman worked at Logan's Roadhouse collectively for seven years until Mother's Day 2014. Two days later she went missing on June 2nd.

Her former coworkers at Logan's on Lufkin's South Loop are keeping hope as well as her spirit alive by hosting a birthday party in her honor.

Around 10:45 a.m. Friday, her coworker family gathered in a small portion of the restaurant, where they laid out a birthday spread of cakes, pigs in blankets, cookies, and other desserts that they know Morton loves.

“I don't know what to say about her. She's just a wonderful person,” said Melissa Adams, who's been at the restaurant more than a year and was trained by Morton. “The birthday party is important because that's what she would like.” Seven-year employee Kathi Andersen tearfully agreed. “It's celebrating Sheila, just exactly the way she would've celebrated,” Andersen said with a somber sigh. “She would have been tickled to death to see everything there - all the memories.”

Sanches said Morton was last seen off FM Road 843 in the Pollok area some three-to four-miles east of Highway 69 by her baby's father who lived in that area. According to detectives, Hayden who is now 4 years-old, lives with his father.
