Not a whole lot on the police appeal.

Her daughter posting in the comments on link says she parked in Rowen, potentially heading towards Drum or Aber, but could be anywhere.

Search underway in the Conwy Valley area for missing woman

A major multi-agency search is underway for a missing woman in the Conwy Valley area.

North Wales Police, Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team and the RAF Search and Rescue Team are all involved in an operation to locate 56-year-old Ausra Plungiene, who was last seen yesterday morning (Tuesday, April 11th).

Ausra, who lives in the Prestatyn area, is believed to have left for her walk at around 10:30am with her dog, but she failed to return home.

The alarm was raised shortly before 10pm last night when North Wales Police coordinated a search across a vast area of Eryri. Her car was located by officers in the Rowen area during the early hours.

She may have been wearing a dark pink/purple padded jacket, black leggings and blue shoes.

Superintendent Owain Llewellyn of North Wales Police said all efforts were being deployed to search for Ausra. He said: “We are extremely concerned for Ausra’s safety and I am appealing to anyone who may have seen her or has any information on her whereabouts to get in touch.

“A number of resources were deployed throughout the night to try and find her. Her vehicle was located in a remote car park in Rowen shortly after midnight so we are working to establish which route she may have taken.

“Searches are continuing across the area this morning – involving a number of resources including air support, and due to the current inclement weather conditions, I would ask members of the public not to conduct their own searches, and allow our Mountain Rescue colleagues to continue their enquiries”.

Anybody who may have seen Ausra, or have any information is urged to contact North Wales Police via 101 or via the website, quoting reference number A052734.

North Wales Police, supported by Mountain Rescue Teams and RAF Search and Rescue continue to try to locate 56-year-old Ausra Plungiene, who was last seen yesterday morning (Tuesday, April 11th).
Superintendent Owain Llewelyn said: “Searches have continued all day in the Carneddau, despite extremely difficult weather conditions, including snow and gale force winds. We are very concerned for Ausra’s welfare and our enquiries will continue throughout the night. Searches will resume at first light tomorrow morning.
“Specialist officers continue to support Ausra’s family and we would ask the media to respect their privacy at this difficult time.
“I would like to thank members of the public who have contacted us thus far, and would ask anyone who may have seen Ausra with her dog Eyora, or anyone who has any information as to her whereabouts to contact us on 101 or via the live webchat facility on our website, quoting reference number A052734.”

Would take around 45 mins to drive to Rowen from Prestatyn.
Weather has been awful here today, really hoping that Ausra and her dog are found soon.

Wondering if she was trying the Rowen to Llyn Ogwen trail? That takes you through Bwlch Y Ddeufaen and to Drum. It's a challenging trail in places.

Friends of Ausra say she previously enjoyed walking the Rowen and Tal Y Fan Circular route - which spans 12.30km.

However one pal claims Ausra told her she was planning a much longer loop the day before she vanished.

'20 MILE WALK'

She wrote: “Ausra. Please return home safely.

“You said to me Monday night you were going for a 20 mile walk to the 2nd peak in Snowdonia.

The daughter of a woman who vanished while walking her dog in Snowdonia has begged for help in 'bringing her mummy home'.

Ausra Plungiene, 56, was last seen on Tuesday morning and is believed to have left for a walk with her dog at about 10.30am but failed to return home.

Her daughter Toma Plungauite Lamb appealed to the public for help.

She told the Sun: 'My mum is the most beautiful soul, who would do anything for anyone.

'So I’m asking for anyone with any information to come forward to bring our mummy home.'

The search for Ms Plungiene, who has been missing for more than 24 hours, has been ongoing today after temperatures in the area plunged to below two degrees last night.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said officers were working with Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team and the RAF Search and Rescue to try to locate her, who lives in the Prestatyn area.

A search across Eryri national park (Snowdonia) was coordinated after the alarm was raised shortly before 10pm on Tuesday and her car was found by officers in the Rowen area in the early hours of Wednesday morning, police said.

I wonder who reported her missing and what her usual routine was...10pm seems quite a long time to wait when last seen at 10.30am. JMO
Not really, because how is it known that someone has gone missing, especially if they live on their own and maybe don't work or have a day off? Her daughter may not have tried to contact her mother until later in the day, phone not answered, thought she's busy, but become concerned when unable to make contact at night, possibly asked neighbours to check, hence 10pm.

she left for her walk with her dog but they discovered her car in a remote car park so she must've driven with the dog to an area where she could walk him? it's a bit confusing ...

”Police are investigating two possible sightings of her and her dog, called Eyora, in the Carneddau mountains on Tuesday.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have been walking in that area on Tuesday with a dog to get in touch, so they can rule these sightings out of their enquiries.

The team is also investigating possible leads from a hillwalking app Ms Plungiene often uses to log her mountain routes.

Supt Llewellyn urged people not to conduct their own searches due to the poor weather conditions.”
