Hmmm, strange they photographed his belongings on someone's NIke hoodie (not his!)

I haven't heard of those brands mentioned - Connor or Alpha - but don't understand why they wouldn't be able to identify any other items of clothing, unless they weren't bought in the UK.

He may have come from France ? The handmade keyring is very similar to this Google Image Result for https://www.abc.net.au/radionational/image/7779886-3x2-340x227.jpg
But if he was a refugee his fingerprints would have being taken by the immigration officers.
An associated MSM article from 2016 says Keyrings available to regular donors to Australia for UNHCR’.

The keyring that supports refugees

Maybe his remains were too decomposed for forensics to get his fingerprints.

Short article from 20 Feb. Not much new, apart of his location.

Could this picture identify a dead man?

Police trying to identify a man whose body was found on a beach have released an artist's impression of his face.

The man was found at the foot of cliffs below Belle Tout lighthouse near Birling Gap on 18 November last year.

He's described as of Asian appearance, 5'3" and possibly in his 20s.

He was wearing a grey hoodie, grey and blue striped jumper and black trousers, and was carrying a turquoise rosary bead necklace and a green lanyard with a tag saying 'I support refugees'.

So he jumped or fell from the cliffs rather then being washed ashore...

I do not know the injuries that would be sustained by jumping - but the PM pictures seem as though there is very little facial damage. Could he have been swept in by the sea?

Might be useful to say.....

Christian rosary beads would normally have 59 beads
This necklace appears to have fewer

Would be hugely helpful to know exact number of beads as this could be a very good clue

5 decade rosary beads normally contain one larger stone per decade, i see only one size of bead here.
There will be some significance in the number and material from which the beads are made

You mean the ‘Our Father’ bead? Sometimes, yes, but this rosary looks to be inexpensive and plastic. Often they are giveaways or bought for children and don’t have the intricacies of more expensive versions.
