Two men have been charged over the murder and disappearance of 21-year-old Chloe Mitchell, after police discovered human remains.

Chloe Mitchell, who is from Ballymena, County Anrtim, was last seen on CCTV in the early hours of June 3 in the town centre.

A 26-year-old man has now been charged with murder following a major search operation that resulted in the discovery of human remains.

Another 34-year-old man has been charged with assisting offenders, following extensive searches of the Ballymena area over the past few days.

The two men will now appear in Ballymena Magistrate's Court after forensics officers attended a flat in the James Street area of Ballymena on Sunday evening.
