In the early days of the investigation no one was allowed to even hint that CL had passed away .
If you did you’d get angry questions like ‘how dare you say she’s no longer with us ‘
She is simply missing.you are upsetting her family. And so on .
It goes without saying by far every body wanted to help and not offend anyone

This much is true.

Oooh that's a big call @Nikynoo . Could be a motive.....?
possibly if said DVD was just claudia and one other and only if in Claudias possession. From what I can tell (from what I have read on here), there were more than 2 people, so unless everyone else who was in the dvd is also missing, doesn't make sense to me.

That doesn't really make sense though does it? By day 5 they were already looking at abduction. There was no ransom demand. Surely the only logical conclusion was that Claudia had come to harm?

Interesting early perspective:
Friends described Miss Lawrence as quietly spoken, happy and sociable. She has previously had boyfriends but is not in a current relationship.
"Happy"? Her sister said, C was again and again disappointed by men and treated badly (similar wording, no link). Seems, the family did know half of the men and her friends did know about the other half, different men.

Her sister would be speaking about the 35 years gone bye close friends knew her for a relatively short time

Because.... there has been no confirmed statement concerning it. Police have said nada, haven't seen it in the press either.............

But police wouldn’t confirm without absolute proof.

What if one of the men was in a long term 'happy' marriage with children and grandchildren and someone threatened to tell his wife? Isn't that how LH's marriage ended, allegedly due to her discovery of the DVD? Divorce due to adultery would mean the 'guilty' party losing his hard earned assets and the love and respect of family members and mutual friends.

But a parent will hope against hope till they see with their own eyes

He confessed the affair to his wife. It's in an interview she gave, apprently because he felt so guilty........

Come to think about it the clip could have easily been shot by an investigator

Sister may have held different standards and expectations of how a man should treat a woman than her new friends at the NH. She did carry off that air of content well though when you look at photos and her demeanour on her walk home. Her neighbours referred to her as happy go lucky and cheerful. Perhaps it was all a facade.

Saving it for the court case. And they want witnesses to come forward. This wouldn't help.
