    Claudia Lawrence investigation
    http://www.northyorkshire.police.uk/13147

It is now six years since Claudia Lawrence disappeared without trace in York. Despite the intensive efforts of the police, the resolve of her heart-broken family and saturated media coverage, her sudden disappearance remains a mystery.

North Yorkshire Police's commitment and determination to solve the case and bring closure for Claudia's loved-ones, is undiminished by the passage of time.

Detective Superintendent Dai Malyn, head of the force's enhanced Major Crime Unit, is leading a comprehensive review of the original investigation.

This has been supported by national experts from other forces and agencies, including forensic specialists who recently completed a re-examination of Claudia's home on Heworth Road in York.

As a result of this work, Det Supt Malyn and his team have identified new lines of enquiry and fresh public appeals to pursue, as well as renewed appeals on previous key items of interest to the investigation.

Detective Chief Superintendent Simon Mason, Head of Crime for North Yorkshire Police, said: "The decision to focus and prioritise the efforts of the enhanced Major Crime Unit on this case and undertake a comprehensive review of the original investigation, is producing progressive results which we expect to continue over time."

The cops should publish images of Claudia's front door from the neighbour's private cctv

Well...why didn't the initial investigation search the back alley in 2009? I guess Claudia left the house via the front door.

There was a shop CCTV at the lights end of her toad at Costcuters but she would have been on the opposite side of Riad and out of range. The next CCTV was at Melrosegte post office some way away. That would have picked her up but didn't

The Cold Case team and other experts think differently:
What happened to Claudia? - BBC News

His team had spent two years unearthing new leads and theories - the most significant of which was considering the possibility that whatever happened to Claudia did so on 18 March and not the next day.
It is a theory supported by Clive Driscoll, who thinks it far more likely she came to harm overnight.
“It could have all gone horribly sour the moment Claudia finished that phone call with her mum. From the time she finished that conversation… is, in my mind, where the focus should lie.”
Det Supt Malyn stressed the growing importance of the alley behind Claudia’s home and officers searched it on their hands and knees. He suggested if something had happened at the property overnight those responsible would have used the alley.

Do we know how often the buses run? Might be able to pin point times when she possibly left the house?

I for my part wouldn't trust Crime Stoppers, since I have read long time ago, that a serial killer was member of Crime Stoppers in AUS (Milat), had an emblem of Crime Stoppers on his rear window. MOO

Will Driscoll could do a better Job than that "Beckham style" image maker MWT who has never had a success since leaving the force.

im with the theory that something happened on the night of the 18th if only because she didn't reply to the last text message yet she was known as a prolific texter....although it could be she went out for the night, forgot her work stuff so guy in heworth place cctv goes and gets it for her.come morning time she realizes she needs something else say hair straighteners so he nips and gets them which means she probably got taken on her way to work....would also indicate the guy she spent the night with was local as he walked round..... and i did wonder if as they said they had cctv from over the road showing cl leave then return but its poor quality..how they know its cl returning???
