West Midlands Police said it was "clear nothing could be done to save her" and believed she had been dead for "several days".

A post mortem found Marlene died from head injuries.

Det Insp Adam Jobson, from the homicide team, said: “My thoughts remain with Marleen’s family, who are understandably devastated by what has happened.

“I’d encourage anyone who saw any suspicious in the area over the last week, or has any information to get in touch.”

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting crime ref 20/147159/22

Her Facebook shows she has children (possibly not living with her as no mention in the reporting?) and looked very much in love with him with talks of a wedding .

Four people charged after a woman was found dead at a flat in Coventry have been given a trial date. The body of Marlene Doyle, 32, was discovered at the property at Othello Court in Shakespeare Street on January 20.

And on Friday (June 10), Marlene's partner Patryk Skupinski, charged with murder, appeared at Warwick Crown Court. Skupinski, 36, of Othello Court, was joined by his mother Hanna Skupinska, 57, of Bell Green Road who was charged with assisting an offender.

Michael Lada, 39, and Kinga Rybacka, 25, both of Blythe Road, Hillfields, also appeared in the dock after they were charged with assisting an offender as well. No pleas were entered at the latest hearing and all four are due to stand trial on January 9, 2023.

Marlene Doyle's body lay undiscovered for up to five days in the flat in Coventry and police said she had significant head injuries.

She suffered domestic abuse before her death, the West Midlands force said.

Patryk Skupinski, 37, was found guilty of her murder and at Coventry Crown Court was told he would serve at least 21 years in prison.

Three other people, who included Skupinski's mother, were also jailed for hiding him after Ms Doyle's death.

A mother from Coventry who attempted to help her murderer son flee to Poland has been jailed.

After Hanna Skupinski, 52 found out her son Patryk Skupinski, 37, had killed his partner Marlene Doyle, 32, she contacted another of her sons in Poland to see if he could arrange travel out of the UK.

The 59-year-old from Bell Green Road, Coventry protected Patryk Skupinski after he killed the much-loved mother-of-three on January 15, 2022 and when police officers attended her home to speak to him she initially refused to open the door.

Partners Michal Lada, 41, and Kinga Rybacka, 27, also helped to keep the murderer hidden from police at their home in Blythe Road, Coventry.
Lada was sentenced to 42 months imprisonment less 135 days spent on a qualifying curfew while the case was progressing through the courts.

Rybacka and Hanna Skupinski were both sentenced to 15 months behind bars.

IMO Hanna's age back then was much more likely to be 59, a number which also appears in her photo caption, than 52.
