Craig Cripps

Craig Cripps, aged 32, had been staying with friends in Poplar Road, Batchley area of Redditch since July 2011 and had started a new job as a barman at a Birmingham city centre pub. However he failed to turn up for work on 2 September 2011.

Nothing has been heard of him since he sent an email to a friend on 4 September and the last time police were able to track his phone signal was in Penzance shortly after he went missing.

“Mr Cripps has previously been known by the surname Saddler and grew up in the Penzance area of Cornwall. As this is the last time his phone was traced we are hoping someone in the Penzance area may know where he is.”

He is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall, of medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes. When he was last seen his hair was shaved. However he has previously worn it long. He usually wears a black cargo jacket.

Det Con Coleman added: “While Mr Cripps has moved around a lot, it was very out of character for him to go missing.

Nothing has been heard of him since he sent an email to a friend on September 4, indicating he had gone to London, where he has previously lived and worked. Police have been unable to locate him despite issuing an appeal shortly after he went missing.

It would be interesting to know what was contained in that last email he sent to the friend on 4th September considering he hadn't turned up to work on 2nd September? And can we assume he was in Penzance at the time of sending this email due to his phone being traced there? There has to be more info available regarding the circumstances regarding his disappearance that would help rule out/include certain possibilities. How frustrating.

Has he previously lived rough? Who does he know in London and how was the connection made? Has his phone been found? The statement "he is not believed to have taken any money or belongings with him" is confusing, they were either left somewhere he'd been staying or they weren't there at all so which one is it? Does anyone know if Craig's family ever got a PI involved? So many questions, more info needed to direct any searches etc.

I really hope Craig is okay somewhere.
