Josh Cotton has spent the last year living on his narrow boat called The Spirit which is moored on the south side of the marina. He was last seen at around 4pm on Friday, March 11, and despite intensive appeals and searches, there have been no further sighting of the 22-year-old man. Police divers have already searched the water around Josh’s boat (on Wednesday, March 16) and a police helicopter has carried out searches of the area around the marina using thermal imaging cameras in an attempt to find the missing man.

Search and rescue teams have also spent several days searching the surrounding fields on foot looking for clues.

Thank you, ElemenohP for updating the UK thread. I know I bang on about it but it's so easy for "our" cases to get lost in the new posts index so it's very helpful to have our own little sub-index.

Back to Josh - I'd love to live on a boat (if I were single and had no kids!) and hope he's not in the water. I assume that's the first place the police checked. Marking my spot and will have a little look at it properly later.

Searches for Josh Cotton continue two weeks on

Police are continuing to appeal for information.

"It’s now two weeks since Josh was last seen and understandably we, and his family, are growing increasingly concerned about his welfare. Josh is usually in daily contact with his family, but we know that he doesn’t have his phone with him to be able to get in touch. This is extremely out of character. We also believe that Josh didn’t have any money with him when he disappeared and we know he doesn’t have access to a bank account, leaving him very vulnerable. He also doesn’t own a car, if you have given someone matching Josh's description a lift in the last couple of weeks then please get in touch. Any possible sighting of Josh will help with our enquiries."
    – Detective Inspector Matt Ditcher

I wonder why he doesn't have a bank account?

I took that to mean he had left all his cards and id on the boat so they know he can't access the account.
