GUILTY UK - Katie Kenyon, 33, may have left w/man in car, Burnley, 22 Apr 2022 *ARREST*

Todmorden Road looks like, to me, on google maps, that it is yellow lines all the way either side. So if she did stop there, as stated in above article, she was just planning on dropping something off quickly then getting back in her car.

She wrote: "I know everyone wants to go out and do searches for Katie believe me it's all I can think about and I understand how frustrating it is feeling like you're doing nothing BUT and please listen to this carefully..

"If anyone does go trampling through the woods looking they could tamper with any evidence the police will need to convict the *advertiser censored* that's done this to her..

"You don't know what you're looking for do you so you could ruin any evidence there may be that could make sure he goes down for a very long time..

Just reposting this link as noticed this info which I had not seen before.

Wondering what she did for 15 minutes.

Todmorden Road, in Ms Kenyon's home town of Burnley, where she was last seen parking her white Ford Fiesta at 9.15am on Friday, before getting into a silver van with an unknown man around 15 minutes later.

That's new to me too. A previous article said that she came out of the property and entered the van. So presumably 15 minutes inside the house doing something.

Good point - no parking 8am to 6.30pm Mon to Sat.

Did she perhaps park round the side - Richard St ? If it was a 15 minute stop

Police have today taped off woodland as the hunt for missing mother-of-two Katie Kenyon enters its fifth day - with search and rescue sniffer dogs brought in to pursue any trace of her.

Scores of officers are now scouring the 3,000-acre Gisburn Forest in the Ribble Valley, some 23 miles from Todmorden Road, in Ms Kenyon's home town of Burnley, where she was last seen parking her white Ford Fiesta at 9.15am on Friday, before getting into a silver van with an unknown man around 15 minutes later.

Her family have revealed she left her belongings inside her vehicle, with her sister posting on Facebook that 'nothing adds up' about her disappearance on Saturday.

Police say the van travelled to the village of Bolton by Bowland, 17 miles north from Burnley, and just seven miles to the south of the beauty spot where they are now searching.

Forces from across the north west have been drafted in to help search the vast woodland in a bid to locate Katie.

Search and rescue dogs darted in between the trees as areas remained sealed off for walkers and mountain bikers.

Fire and rescue are also helping with the search which is expected to last until at least Friday.

Police on horseback were on patrol across the many footpaths that weave through the woods. Officers from Merseyside Police and North Wales are also helping with the search.

Sounds like the family think she's dead :(

Sounds like the family think she's dead :(

yes it sounds like they have no hope, i think id still be clinging onto a bit of hope which makes me thinks they know more than we do, which of course they will do

You both beat me to it. I think this is quite an unusual way to be talking publicly, and I admire its no-nonsense bluntness, as if to say: we all know what's happened, please don't screw up the forensic evidence by wading into a crime scene in your size 9s. Kudos to the family for being so clear-headed at such a time.

An update on missing Katie Kenyon

A man arrested on suspicion of the kidnap of missing mum Katie Kenyon has this afternoon (Tuesday, April 26th) been further arrested on suspicion of her murder.

While Katie has not yet been found, and the search for her is continuing, detectives are now working on the basis that she is sadly no longer alive.

The enquiry has now shifted from a missing from home to a homicide investigation.

The 50-year-old man under arrest for Katie’s murder remains in custody where he is being questioned about her disappearance. Detectives are this evening making a further application to Burnley Magistrates Court to continue this male’s detention to 9pm tomorrow (Wednesday, April 27th).

Katie’s family have been informed of the latest developments and continue to be supported by specially trained officers.

We continue to appeal to anyone who was in Bolton by Bowland, Gisburn Forest or that area and may have seen Katie, either in company or on her own, or who saw or has dashcam footage of a van matching the description previously given, to come forward and contact us. For a reminder of the details of the van, please see the comments of this post.

We're really grateful for all the help that members of the public have given us so far and we continue to appeal to anyone who has any information, however small, to come forward and speak to us. Whilst we do have someone under arrest, our enquiries are very much on-going.

We are aware that many members of the public have offered to help us in searches and whilst we are grateful for that, we please ask the public not to do so. The area we are searching is very large and remote with no phone signal. The police teams are trained professionals who are used to doing this sort of work. Please leave it to us.

The search teams now number more than 60 trained search officers from Lancashire, North Wales, Merseyside and GMP, with specialist dogs, a plane and other specialist search equipment being used. The Salvation Army have also kindly provided assistance.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting log 800 of April 24th or you can contact us through the Major Incident Public Portal at Public Portal

Alternatively contact independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

I’ve only just heard of Katie.
So many parts don’t make sense.
The area they are searching is very vast and dense tho, it may take a while for them to conclude, if she is in there, I hope they find her soon.

Hi SpursGyal
Just wondering what you are referring to when you say so many parts don't make sense?
TIA

Sorry was just my late night musings, I need to do some more digging I think. The posting her belongings through a door. From what I can work out she didn’t live on that road, so was she waiting to meet him?
