Websleuths operates differently than other sites. It may be difficult to understand our rules in the beginning but when you have been here awhile you begin to appreciate the reasoning behind the rules. Primarily, we respect the integrity of a case by keeping out rumors and we also uphold protecting the innocent and peripheral players in a case.

New members need to read the following terms of service in their entirety. Members are responsible for knowing our rules and posting accordingly.

Rules - Etiquette & Information

Please be mindful of the following:
* We do not sleuth people who have not been named by LE as suspects or POI's.

* We do not link to social networking pages of people who have not been named by LE as suspects/POI.

* We never post the name of a private individual, minor or adult, who has not been named in the media.

* Questions about the rules or moderation should be addressed to a mod in a private message called a conversation. DO NOT discuss them in the thread.

* If you see a post that violates TOS, do not reply as it will cause a huge clean up for mods. Alert the post so a mod can look at the post.

* If you quote a post which later is removed by a mod, your post is subject to removal, as well.

Here is some information regarding our social media rules in case you missed it on the last thread.

  • Paraphrasing is okay.
  • Posts by friends and visitors are off limits.
  • Do not link to an individual’s (victim or suspect) social media page if you are not 100% certain it belongs to the correct individual.
  • If a social media page is set to private and you get in the back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private!

  • Links may be used to direct members to a post by the owner or an admin of an approved social media page/profile.

Conversations in your inbox:
One other important thing new members may not be aware of. You may start a conversation in your inbox and invite up to 20 members to converse. The conversations in the inbox area are totally private and are not moderated. Moderators cannot see it. Therefore, you can discuss rumor or other information which is against TOS in the private conversation area. The conversations have the same lay out as the public threads. The conversations can be started at any time. When a thread is closed the discussion can continue in that area.

Do not mention or ask someone to invite you to a conversation or to send you a private message out on the open discussion public board. If you want information from a member just initiate a conversation with them privately.

admin note:
These type of cases are emotional and tensions build when the victim cannot be found. Keep the discussion civil and respectful or face the loss of posting privileges. FYI Mods have the capability of issuing (individual member) thread reply bans which can be temporary (days, week, etc.) or permanent.

If you are particularly bothered by posts you have the ability to place a member on your ignore list. You will not be able to see their responses but will be able to see when someone quotes them.

I am very sceptical about this “15 mins of screams” in the park, I think far more likely that was foxes mating

If it really was her screaming for 15 mins in the park....

1) Libby was very drunk, could barely stand up a short while before, yet she could miraculously sober up to the point she could out run a fitness fanatic chasing her through a park? that is unrealistic imho

2) If it was her and she was not running away from him for 15 mins then that would suggest she was screaming for 15 mins while he was attacking her, there is no way he would let her scream for 15 mins while attacking her as it would create attention, he would silence her within the first couple of screams

The 15 mins of screams in the park just doesn’t add up

Said this before also but then a witness said they saw someone running away shortly after so who knows.

I think a lot of what we have heard will be unimportant to be honest.

It's what we havnt heard that the police are keeping to themselves which will be most important to solving what happened.

I don't believe the theory posted earlier that Libby was in PR's boot I think they would have found forensic evidence of that and slapped him with the abduction charge sooner. As you don't give someone a lift home in you car boot!

Unless they do have masses of forensic evidence and are just holding off charging for some tactical reason.

Kind of think his court hearing next week might bring a few surprises, I know it's not going to trial next week but wouldn't be surprised if there are more charges coming.

On the last thread the flashing on 26th December 2018 was raised. Just over a month before Libby.

The drawing, drawn over a month before his arrest, looks like him in retrospect.

The Sunday before he went to court the police statement originally included a charge ono this date. Overnight that seems to have changed to a similar incident on Wellesley road.

Can we suggest as a working premise that it was likely to be him. And that a lot of other incidents are also likely to be him?

Where is Ella road in relation to his other crimes? There would be hardly any students around then so he might have moved out of his comfort zone / had to look harder.

Someone said in the previous thread that police can’t question PR on abduction charges while he is on remand for these offences as the 96hrs had passed, the last press release a couple of days ago had changed the word to kidnap, would they be allowed to question PR while he is in custody given kidnap is a different charge to abduction?

That drawing could be anyone lol.

Looks like Morph did it.

To be honest I thought it was Ed Sheehan at first glance.

Let's put it this way it won't stand up in a court of law.

No it's been discussed already.

It's a related charge so unless they had new significant evidence they can't question him further.

They can't even question him on the charges he's on remand for.

They had their 96 hours they need to find new information to put to him.

Ella Street is off Newland Avenue, walking distance from PR's house. It's slightly different from the other locations in that it's actually a nice, desirable street favoured by professionals and families rather than one largely populated by students and short-term renters. The summer incidents took place on Jack Kaye Walk, a cycle path which is halfway along the street and easily visible on Google maps. It runs under a railway line, opens up to some playing fields halfway along, and continues through to Goddard Avenue.

Google Maps

I do agree that the drawing could be 'anyone' and is unlikely to stand up in court, which goes some way to explaining why the charge disappeared. Anecdotally, though, it was PR. Neighbours talk. When he was arrested, his fingerprints and DNA will have immediately tied him to various unsolved burglaries (a used condom was left at one scene, which pretty quickly refutes the idea that this is a smart, clever person). With the flashing etc, however, there'd be no physical evidence.

The change in venue and type of resident could easily be explained by the lack of students at that time of year.

Jack Kaye Walk cycle path sounds interesting tho. Could a body be hidden there for 4 weeks

I agree on the lack of students perhaps prompting him slightly further afield, but not so much on Jack Kaye Walk being of any ongoing significance. Unlike Oak Road, it's not at all isolated and really quite open and overlooked by houses. I use it multiple times a day, and it's very popular with dog walkers.

I have also heard about a young man repeatedly walking into the communal hallway of a HMO on Ella street and exposing himself to the women that live there. It happened on a few occasions, apparently.

I think the Boxing Day Ella Street charge was dropped as there was no masturbation talked of and no trespass. Whilst I don’t doubt it was a distressing experience for the victims, sentencing guidelines for indecent exposure and voyeurism, increased harm is interpreted to have occurred where the offender masturbated/the victim was recorded/preparatory offences took place in order to commit the sexual offence(eg trespass)/the offence took place within the victims home.

I am sure the Ella Street victims could ID the offender via photos/video ID but Wellesley is more likely to push into a Category 2 offence where a custodial sentence is an option. I believe the other charges could also qualify as Cat 2. Ella St would be a cat 1 IMO and therefore only attract a community order if proven.
