They could indicate that in the pretrial discussion, but the UK does not have plea bargaining.

Specifically in this case, the accused would really have to present evidence it was manslaughter.

But that isn't his version - so I really think manslaughter is not at issue in this trial.
Thank you for explaining
I don't have much experience in this so in what way does it suggest that? Genuine question as I would have assumed a good period of time to get everything.
Cash strapped whilst probably true, everything in CPS is timelines and has to be completed within a certain timescale- the exception to this is when CPS argue not enough evidence for a charge and the police request another short (and predetermined, not by the police) timeframe to produce more conclusive evidence. This must have happened a few times for the length of time it took to press charges. Also having posted that now makes me intrigued what that tipping point of evidence could have been- I think it’s his previous convictions.

I’d like to say this - Anyone who is in doubt as to whether PR is guilty of rape, I feel sorry for you.

I understand the accusation of murder is harder to accept. However, they both enter a secluded and very badly lit field and PR leaves on his own. He also returns a couple of hours later for reasons we do not know. I’ve said before, why would you return to the scene if you left your victim alive? I’m sure PR knows that Libby could have alerted police by that point or maybe someone else did and returning at that time would be unbelievably stupid. I don’t think his return to the area at this point was to put her body in the river, though it is a possibility, but I think he either wanted to check her body had gone/moved down the river or he wanted to find something he dropped or left behind. I think his return to the area will be what swings the jury to a guilty verdict.

I remember either his sister or mother mentioning the cooking school in the famous interview with the British press. His mother also said he specialised in baking cakes. There is no info about him here in Poland. All information about this case I find on Websleuths and in British press in Internet.

I don't think any of them have given interviews lately. They've probably already disowned him for the dirty and disgusting behaviour he was convicted for and rightly so too. JMO
Can you really disown your own child? Who pays for his lawyers? I only ever saw 1 interwiev with his mother and sister. It was 2 years ago and on Internet. Polish public knows nothing about him.

His poor mother and family, they must be so utterly ashamed of him.
I can’t understand why someone would go out, commit the perverted things he did and the rape (which it certainly is, as she was in no way able to consent), and not think about what his family and especially his children will think about him as they grow up and understand, knowing he’d rather be out doing that than at home with them.
I can understand why people want to see him innocent until proven guilty, <modsnip>, but there’s so much he’s already been found guilty of that’s depraved enough. I’m unsure why you can still defend him.

I see. So he got public Defender. I still think it is family obligation to help a member of the family.
In all honestly I hope they did to him what he did to them
Totally disappointed him
Left him for the very foreseeable future to struggle on his own
To face the aftermath alone with no explanation

In all honesty, if a member of my family was convicted for stalking and terrorising women, breaking into their homes, stealing their personal items and photos, blamming on windows and doors, leaving used condoms and undies on door handles, leaving a used condom on a child's toy and being a dirty disgusting perverted sex criminal I would have nothing more to do with them ever. They'd be on their own for any further charges. JMO
