They may have had dilated pupils because they were found dead.

A number of scenes, believed to be the areas the individuals frequented in the period before they fell ill, will be cordoned off overnight in and around the Amesbury and Salisbury area as a precautionary measure.

Friend of Amesbury victim tells how man was 'dribbling and hallucinating'

Sam Hobson, 29, a friend of the victims who were named locally as Charlie Rowley and Dawn Sturgess, said Mr Rowley was sober but "in another world" when taken to hospital.


He said: “Charlie was dribbling and was rocking backwards and forwards. He was in another world, he was hallucinating.

A local church has also been cordoned off by police.

They seem to be closing down everywhere that the couple have visited just before they were taken ill. So I guess they may have gone to Boots, but that might not be to pick up a prescription.

I'm pretty sure nothing like that is legal, but I don't understand why the friend quoted in the msm article linked above was so sure they were sober? Because those symptoms do sound similar to someone taking illegal drugs.

I know people who forage for mushrooms (not in that county but I don't see why magic mushrooms wouldn't grow there?) and they have to be careful which ones they pick.

Wow! I looked for a link and the local radio station, SpireFM, has an article saying that

In a statement this evening (4th July) Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu, from the Metropolitan Police, said;

“This evening we have received test results from Porton Down that show the two people have been exposed to the nerve agent Novichok."


"Following the detailed analysis of these samples, we can confirm that the man and woman have been exposed to the nerve agent Novichok, which has been identified as the same nerve agent that contaminated both Yulia and Sergei Skripal.

"The latest update we have from the hospital is that both patients remain in a critical condition. Both are British nationals and are local to the area. Officers are still working to identify their next of kin.

"At this stage, no-one else has presented with the same symptoms linked to this incident."
