A man stole Lego from a Barnstaple shop so he could buy heroin, a court has heard.

Christopher Paul Reed, 35, from Victoria Road, Barnstaple, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft when he appeared at North Devon Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Reed had stolen £118.16 worth of Lego and toys from WH Smiths in Barnstaple High Street in September.
