I believe the whole area is called Barton Hill

NM and SH lived at Cotton Mill Lane and KD/JP lived at Barton Court , which as we know is just round the corner so to speak !

I do think it sounds a muddle though, if the bags went to Southmead, that is SHs mothers address

Could NM have wanted to leave it at SH's mother's place but she argued against it?

JI complained the next day about being hungover. Says the conversation he had was JI was as soon as he arrived.

If JI really does have autism, I can't help but feel sorry for the poor bloke. If he was known to NM previously and NM knew he was autistic, that is seriously taking advantage of a vulnerable person who was probably just eager to please.

I agree, but he has been badly advised to plead not guilty. Regardless of what was in the bags, he knew it was something illegal and therefore he is guilty of assisting an offender.

At the time he thought it was Jamie telling a story. "I was shaking my head slowly in disbelief at what was coming out of his mouth"

[h=3]'Ireland said he'd moved something to do with a robbery' - Flatmate[/h]Another flatmate of James Ireland, Richard Whitton is now giving evidence.
He says Ireland told him in the pub he had moved “something to do with a robbery” from Barton Hill.
Ireland said he thought the robbery was worth about £20,000 and that he would get £5,000.
Mr Whitton tells the court: “He [Ireland] thought it could be drugs because of the packaging. He did indicate sizes, about a foot long. He said they were soft.”
Here’s a reminder of CCTV footage the jury were shown earlier of a van allegedly being driven to collect Becky’s body parts.

RW agrees that JI "never actually described the packages".He didn't mention what they were in.

JIs lawyers saying that RW just thought it was all made up and that's why when he asked questions the story fell apart.

Bizarre that Southmead mentioned, inclined to think this is a bit of Chinese whispers as the CCTV spotted van moving between CML and Barton Court.

Back onto the subject of NM and SH possibly dumping any plastic/tape used as protection in dismemberment, I'm curious as to how they travelled to and from SH's mother's house on the days subsequent to their first visit. We've heard they drove there and got a lift back with a "friend" on the Sunday. I seem to recall on the day they were arrested that neighbours were telling the press that the Zafira had been parked in the street for a few days?

If they were using their own car each day, it could be that they parked in the same place and perhaps it seemed as though it had not been moved. From what I remember, they said they often left very late at night to go back to CML, so neighbours might not have noticed it was missing at that time.
Or could be there was a friend who drove them up and back each day.

Could the car have an odour? Becky was in there for several hours, the smell might have lingered?

How did JI know the packages were soft?

Does this mean he may have seen some of them as they were being placed into the suitcases?

Said the packets were "soft" and "tightly packaged" so that's when they discussed it could be drugs

Im wondering if his special needs are going to be used as a defence, something similar to diminshed responsibility?

Maybe he helped pack the suitcases, could be where the other DNA found comes in.
