Circumstances of Disappearance:
Davies was last seen on February 19, 1997, in Perthcelyn, Mid Glamorgan. Prior to his disappearance, Davies had been a passenger in a car which was found abandoned near the Cynon riverbank in Penrhiwceiber. One of the car’s occupants later told police that he and Davies had entered the river, despite it being on red alert, and Davies had made it to the far bank before he lost sight of him. According to Davies' family, he was terrified of water and would have not gone into the river. Despite extensive land, air, and water searches, no trace of Davies has ever been found. Officials believe he was swept away in the fast-flowing River Cynon.
