Date Body Found: September 8, 1944

Age: ~65 years old
Height: 5'2"
Weight: Cannot Estimate
Hair: Gray
Eyes: Unknown
Physical: No teeth present, may have worn glasses
Clothing: Faded green plaid trousers, red suspenders, white t-shirt, underwear
Accessories: Empty eyeglass case found near remains
Circumstances: Skeletal remains found on the salt flats on September 8, 1944 about 4-5 miles northwest of Kaysville.
Conditions of Remains: Not recognizable - Near complete or complete skeleton

I also wondered that. Are there records of internees that escaped or went missing?

Newspaper reports state the body could've been Sophus Olsen (or Olson) that went missing about 1940. I don't see that Sophus was ever listed as a missing person. He had no children, so I'm not sure if anyone would know if he's actually still missing or not.
 
How would they know the skeleton was Asian in those days? White was crossed out, then yellow was entered on the death certificate.
