Provo police seek help finding missing woman

Provo police are asking for the public to help them find a teenage girl missing since March 14.

There's not much information out about Demerie other than she went missing from an activity and that she didn't take necessary medication with her.

According to this she's intellectually disabled and lives in a residential facility for the disabled. And that she's possibly with an Hispanic male and traveling in a 1999 Chevy Suburban.

It sure would help if LE would explain what medication she is taking - for example, if it's an antidepressant or a med for bipolar disorder. I know that people often stop taking those meds because either they feel they alter how they feel or else that they feel okay and therefore don't need to continue taking their meds. That's a different issue from say, insulin.

In any case I hope Demerie is somewhere safe and will contact friends or family soon. Even if she's a runaway she could be putting herself at risk.

Wow, Missing Pieces says she was found in New York...that's quite a long way from Provo, for sure.

Glad she is safe.
