I dont think you usually can but sloop may have allowed it. also if they're playing like she is incompetent, this may go for proving it? as in the attorneys and judge may see it, in order to determine that.

Utah isn't Florida. I can attest to that... they aren't going to get out of this. I just hope they get an appropriate punishment. I don't want another case where the mother gets a light sentence.

Vanessa Hart's case is a little further along than Ethan's... her Father will be sentenced August 8th and the girlfriend last I heard had a scheduling conference August 22nd.

I am compelled to check on this thread now and again because Ethan's story broke my heart. I will never forget reading of the atrocities visited upon him, never.

Once trial rolls around, I am not sure I will be able to follwo this one as closely as I have followed FICA's trial, I don't know if I can bear to watch the evidence roll out, hear of those atrocities in detail.

Rest assured I will be watching, lurking, but I will be doing a lot of mental health withdrawal at key points as well.

Jumped the gun I guess. But I will leave it this way because Oct/Nov will be here before we know it.

I just wish we could skip the trials and just give Nathan and Stephanie what they gave Ethan.

“He's telling me we (Nathan and Stephanie) buried him up in the mountains and I said why did you do that and why didn't you turn him over to the medical examiner?” Mumpower said. “(He said) we panicked. We didn't want to get busted for anything and we wanted to get him out of the way."

After spending 90-days in the same jail pod, Mumpower said Nathan’s behavior changed at a moment's notice.

“I've observed his behavior,” Mumpower said. “I've observed how quickly his temper can flare up. How quickly he can change moods.”

He claimed when Nathan becomes angry, he's out of control and he said it's easy to see how a child in his presence could get hurt.

“Yeah he did it,” Mumpower said. “He hurt that kid and he definitely disfigured the kid after he was dead.”

I wonder if they will televise. I wish they would. at least the trial. I dont have words for how happy I would be to see & hear death sentences handed down in this case (if you dont know, this is the one that changed my mind on the DP. I fully support it for these two.)
