I predict verdict by end of today. No way these jurors are coming back on a Friday to continue this bs. I predict plaintiff will lose. IMO that’s the just verdict here.

His daughters aren’t even there in the courtroom to support him! Supposedly his life has been completely altered due to all this. *eyeroll*

We all have known or have people like this in our lives. It is the worst! A complete drain! By the way, the TS that took the stand loved being up there! He loves this! I didn’t fully see it until yesterday! Wow!
Definitely with you on this! Well said!

I'm curious to see what the jury decides. Paltrow described the crash as a sexual assault, the plaintiff described it as four broken ribs and a concussion. Who will be believed?

Let's say it's a wash as far as who is responsible for the collision. So now the issue is one of damages: ask yourself what are 4 broken ribs worth in $$$ and a concussion (did he have a concussion?)--- this case becomes one of damages- his litany of damages is BS and I hope the jury does not buy into his BS-- now consider also, they may not like either defendant---- so which one do they like less than the other--

Question…When they take up the attorney’s fees with the judge - which I believe they said would be at a later date - will that be televised as well?

I’m curious to know how much each side spent on all these attorneys and experts. In my opinion this never should have come to trial and TS‘s attorneys should have told him there was no way to prove his claims and that he’d save himself a lot of heartache and embarrassment if he would just drop it and go on with his life. And someone should be reimbursing the taxpayers for the cost of holding the trial and the jurors who have missed 2 weeks of work for this. Maybe the judge should have the option of making attorneys who do their clients a disservice by going to trial pay the defendant’s legal fees.

I still can’t believe he originally wanted over $3 million for damages.

I also can’t believe that the Court records show he ended up leaving a deposition “abruptly” that was for GP’s attorneys, he cited too much fatigue to continue.

Country lawyer explains to jury the reason for the cough and apologizes assures them he is not contagious.

GP is not a liar, TS is not a liar. She is a good person, good mother passionate about many things. I believe that GP believes TS hit her in the back. She is not a liar it's her sincere belief. Problem is a sincere belief doesn't make it so

(hope Owens repeats this statement when discussing TS and his complaints)

Oh geez he’s just giving the jury instructions. I thought the verdict was in duh, missed watching this morning.

and the flow is broken because audio issues, no one can here Sykes I guess. (I heard him fine)

Oh no…is Sykes going to hack all the way through his closing??

Was that phone in math guy the only rebuttal witness?

I DON'T know why Sykes is doing any part of the closing given his physical situation. So distracting that cough. His experience in a car accident is pointless.

TS is listening to Skyes telling about the accident...nodding all along and smiling at the jury. I hope the jury is as creeped out by him as I am.

oh my word. Here comes the country lawyer reading back GP testimony re whether Moses wanted GP to watch him ski. Ramon only saw the impact, the only one, country lawyer discusses that Ramon is barely an acquaintance of TS. Roman is independently wealthy who only travels skies and scuba dives now. Strong evidence. No reason to lie.

Broken ribs are the strongest piece of evidence you have that TS was hit.

This is not a well organized impassioned closing on the part of the Plaintiff. Country lawyer is not doing well JMO

says it's unbelievable that he "skied between GP legs"

Blames EC because but for his statement that "you just took out GP" TS would never have known who he collided with (I don't get this argument at all, because the report filed that day contains her name, address contact info etc)

I have followed this trial primarily here and with online news and don't know detailed background. Does anyone know if the plaintiff is retired military? Optometrists tend to make a small fraction of what ophthalmologists make, yet this guy seems to be quite wealthy based on his travels. My wife's stepfather was a Korean War vet and travelled extensively on military aircraft with several trips to Japan and Thailand. I wonder if this world traveler was doing something similar.
I don’t recall hearing anything about prior military service and pretty sure it would have come up if he was a retired vet. But just wanted to say that his “wealth” may have more to do with selling the business than the actual money he earned and put back for retirement. I work for a guy that had 2 partners and they went together and bought some old run down office buildings in Las Vegas for one million - had them about a year - most were unoccupied and they were losing money. One of the casinos wanted to expand and wanted their property and paid them ten million just to get it quickly and boom 3 guys who were losing their investments suddenly had three million each free and clear! I’m pretty sure when he fell out with his partner they sold the business and depending on it’s location they may have come out better in selling than they ever did in operating their business.
