I too think he is a sadist. in my mind it is a big step to go from thoughts to really having a builder come look to put a room add on. seems to me there must have been some things happening in between just a thought to lets build a room.

He did not ask her to bring her child, she stated she would have to come later than planned because she had her daughter and he told her she was welcome to bring her.
That’s not how it’s said in the video, have a link?

Also on the psychiatric front: some sexual sadists spend a great deal of time setting up methods of entrapment. Other sexual predators do this as well. It channels their energy into their sexual fantasies and gradually, they build up a system that brings them into contact with potential victims (it used to be a lot of hitchhikers, sex workers are always at risk, now there are online methods).

For the most extreme sadists, the goal is to find someone who has trust in them, so they can betray that as part of the torture. That's why I was asking if any of his friends or neighbors have given a clue as to his personality. Friendly, boyish, kind? That's not a bad mask to hide behind (not unlike Bundy).

Would love to see his internet search history.

Not a lot that I recall other than how creepy and scary that is.
I am sure he was all set to groom that darling girl. I pray that the mother didn't bring her. No way, no how!

Extremely. I hope to God there aren’t more victims and especially not children. This man is pure evil.

Opens a whole new can of worms, doesn’t it?

I do remember seeing a local report, that at the apartments, the other persons car was being searched. I never heard another thing about it.
I know. I've been wondering about this and if they found anything. Didn't they also search the apartment, too?

ITA. I think most likely we have only scratched the surface of having a clue of what he is, what he would do and how far he would

Utah law has aggravated murder for putting anyone in a situation that might cause death.

And it looks like even a sudden rage type killing becomes aggravated murder if there is any mutilation before or after the victims death.

https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title76/Chapter5/76-5-S202.html

(1) Criminal homicide constitutes aggravated murder if the actor intentionally or knowingly causes the death of another under any of the following circumstances:

(c) the actor knowingly created a great risk of death to a person other than the victim and the actor;

...

(r) the homicide was committed in an especially heinous, atrocious, cruel, or exceptionally depraved manner, any of which must be demonstrated by physical torture, serious physical abuse, or serious bodily injury of the victim before death;
(s) the actor dismembers, mutilates, or disfigures the victim's body, whether before or after death, in a manner demonstrating the actor's depravity of mind;
...
Just wanted to say that I appreciate all the research you do and thank you.

Well, she never went back and ignored any future calls. Hopefully she never brought her the first time but my guess would be he hoped she would clean regularly and bring the daughter along.

Looks like AA will have company. Another murder in SLC. Convenience store clerk. 3:30 am. Couple days ago.

I found it odd at the time they didn’t spend as much time at the dig site than I anticipated they would. I figured an archeological excavation that would take at leaaaast days...

No, I’m suggesting just for the night she flew in and using it promptly, disposing of her body in the canyon. Next day, maybe two, but before his Kia is impounded under the search warrant, swaps it back.

Sure. Anything is possible— no confirmation what AA was driving when he collected ML at Hatch Park.

Not sure if this was already discussed a bunch, but I noted that this article says she was found near Third Dam:

Jul 5, 2019

Ajayi was a Cache Valley resident for several years before moving to the Salt Lake City area.

Cache County Sheriff Chad Jensen said the body was recovered near Third Dam but he has few details to add.

The Salt Lake City Police Department contacted him on Wednesday to inform him they were coming into the area, he said.

“They called and said they were coming up and they didn’t need any assistance, so we really didn’t have any play in it at all,” he said. “They asked for some equipment that they ended up not needing so they came back and that was it.”

Brown said he was in contact with Lueck’s family Friday morning, calling it “another devastating call.”

SLC Police: MacKenzie Lueck's body found in Logan Canyon

BBM. Other articles said they requested diving equipment. Not needing the equipment makes me think she wasn't in the water. And it sounds like she was found right away when they went to the location. I wonder if they have video of AA (or his car) from the Dam cameras. MOO.

Yes, and the local (or nonlocal) who posted about the dam cameras was very astute!

"Then you have the smart psychopath vs the dumb one. The smart ones run corporations and become world leaders. The dumb ones end up in prison. And this dude was dumb"

This statement made me laugh out loud. This is so true. We have, on this website, so many negative connotations about sociopaths and Psychopaths. And people with DSM related conditions.

There are many people who were diagnosed through what would be current DSM diagnosis that did very well in life. Relatively successful, and I always think of Ted Turner.

ITA!

Those who do not become criminals are very often highly successful in the workplace.

Imo, the reason they are is they have no normal emotions or attachments for anyone else including those they work with.

They will gladly throw anyone under the bus at any given time, and never blink an eye.. when trampling others to get to the top, and get what they want.

They are ruthless, and have no concerns about others. Their lives solely revolves around themselves.

They feel entitled to do whatever they want to do.

While these kind of psychopaths do not resort to murdering anyone... often they can make it a living hell for those who are around them.

I believe they are increasing in number.

I read an article a couple of years back in a medical article which stated 1 out of 5 between the age of 18, and 25 years of age now have some type of serious personality disorder. That's very alarming. Imo.

Warning Graphic:

Had Kenzie’s body never been recovered, I wonder if and when they were going to release that the burn pile likely did not include all of Kenzie. I would think they would have been able to determine this if there were no bone fragments, etc.

Completely O/T

I couldn't find a WS thread for the unsolved murder of (Utah resident) Cyle Van Komen. Maybe I'm spelling his name incorrectly?? TIA for any info!

This has probably been mentioned but I’m still catching up but I’m 98% sure that’s a Toyota Camry.

ETA - now I’m caught up and see it’s been talked about. :)

On another note — is this the other guys car? The one he was arrested with (who was let go?) maybe some kind of rental or something?
I'm not sure either and yea I'm off today lol. I looked back and wasnt sure why I said Altima. Totally a Camry. First time I saw this Toyota Camry was today.

(I'm still beating myself over that mistake lol)

I’m sure there are more victims.

In re: the housekeeper, is this the lady who cleaned there once and claimed the place was full of cameras? Has her story ever been corroborated by anyone?
