“Jonathan Owen Miller, 36, was arrested Thursday morning at the residence by police conducting a welfare check on Rachel Elizabeth Brown, 25, the victim.

The shooting occurred sometime before 7 a.m. Thursday, according to a police statement. Waynesboro police arrived to conduct the welfare check a little after 7. Upon arrival, they saw blood “on and near the front door of the apartment, and encountered [Miller] at the residence," according to a statement by Waynesboro police.

Miller was detained as officers searched the apartment. The found Brown with a gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.”

    Rachel’s FB
    https://m.facebook.com/rachel.brown.982?fref=nf&pn_ref=story

She posted at 12:09am the day she was murdered that she woke up to him standing over her with a knife and that she needed a bodyguard for the next month until she was out of the lease they were on together. *paraphrased*

He came back within the next six hours and shot her.

That last post and video of her finding the knife and her response is very chilling. She had no idea of the evil he was capable of. Poor girl.

This is a throwaway, but I know this guy pretty well. This has been haunting me ever since I heard the news.

Sorry for asking but did he suddenly snap or does he have a violent side that you know of?

I’m at a loss. The VA courts online is super easy to use and even in my tiny city updated within 24 hours of any arrests, hearings, status updates, etc. I can not find this guy with any charges listed and I searched Waynesboro, Augusta Co and Staunton both Circuit and GD courts. Nothing.

Not gonna lie when I looked at the second picture on his Facebook I immediately thought he looked like the BG suspect in the Delphi murder case.

Of course that’s in Indiana and I have nothing at all to link it, JM is likely not at all involved in that case but daaaang that nose.

    JMO.

We always appreciate members who know any of the major case players and may be able to provide us with what we call "inside information". However, unless a member is a Verified Insider (VI), they cannot post/state information as fact without MSM or LE links to substantiate.

If you are a member who knows one of the case players and has "inside information" on any case, you are encouraged to become a Verified Insider. It is a simple process, and instructions on how to become a VI are found here.

If you become a VI, you do not have to provide links to MSM to back up what you state as fact. However, you must still post in accordance with all other rules WS has in place (i.e. Social Media rules).

Until a member becomes a VI, posts containing "inside information" will be removed and reinstated after the process is complete. Please continue to contribute and discuss, just no insider stuff until you are a VI.

I have watched the video over and over. I have one question. How does the knife wind up under something, in the position it is in? It isn't like it could slide that way.

March 13 article “The slaying suspect, Jonathan O. Miller, 36, remains at Middle River Regional Jail.

Miller was initially charged with second-degree murder, but the Waynesboro grand jury directly indicted him Monday on the first-degree murder charge in the slaying of 25-year-old Rachel Brown, court records show.

Miler also faces an additional charge of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.” https://www.newsleader.com/story/ne...st-degree-murder-charge-waynesboro/419273002/
