Below is a press release from Sheriff Dan Smith about a woman missing from Patrick County. If you have any information, please contact the Patrick County Sheriff's Office immediately.
Patrick County authorities are actively investigating the disappearance of a Stuart woman, according to Sheriff Dan Smith. Shelly Dawn Vessell Gravely, 34, of South Mayo Drive, was last heard from shortly after 10 pm on Friday evening. Deputies were called by friends and family just prior to midnight on Saturday to check Gravelys well-being. Deputies did not find Gravely at her home, the sheriff stated. Gravely had not made contact with friends as she normally does on Saturday, prompting authorities to be contacted. Local and state investigators worked throughout the day on Sunday following up on leads and searching for evidence at the residence. Gravely is described as being 54 220 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Smith said that clothing and possible vehicle descriptions are unknown. A reward is being offered for information on Gravelys location. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact Sheriff Smith at 276 692 7012 or The Patrick County Sheriffs Office at 276-694-3161. Major Garry Brown is the lead investigator assigned to the case.
