Are you saying when they started picking jurors like a year ago these people lied to get on this jury?

Why do you think they did that, out of curiosity?
 
No bashing...and no blaming

Of any people involved (except CMJA) this was not easy on anyone.

It is possible the "four" did recognize deep emotional & behavioral issues & although cruel she is just so off in left field with her b&$@s(+t they ended up with some pity thinking she is insane?

Not my thinking but we cannot guess who voted against death by looks alone ... or directing anger towards jurors or Juan... there is an element they came so far & no finish?

So she will possibly get more air time before she fades into oblivion.

But she is definitely not going back to grandma's or on road trips.

Jodi should be sued for wrongful death now. Let her juggle both at the same time. Put the pressure on.

Maybe if she had actually fully decapitated him. Where they would have to have two pictures, one for the head, and one for the neck. Maybe then. Maybe 30 stab wounds would have done it instead of 29.

I hope they get one. I also hope people who state they are death qualified and make it onto the jury understand that Jodi is truly the cause of her death under the laws of AZ, if they choose it, not them.

I also think the instructions about the weight of mitigation has to be greater than the weight of aggravation needs to be stressed. I think one or more may not have understood that.

The last thing- feelings of "she may repent later" should have nothing to do with it. It is impossible to predict, and not a mitigating factor, imo.
 
I wonder who the poor persons are that will be replacing Wilmott and Nurmi.

I bet A LOT of public defenders will be tendering their resignations tomorrow.

That is just a word of caution next time we start to get emotional about a Trial coming to an end. Just saying...

Thanks for giving me an opening to ask this:

Today I met someone who really, totally believes in the Law of Attraction. He's very, very nice, educated and rational. The subject came up because i've been pretty down on myself lately and he's a personal fitness trainer I've employed. He was enthusiastic without being pushy or fanatical. He asked me to watch the movie, "The Secret" on You Tube before we meet again. I told him I'd heard about "The Laws of Attraction" during the Jodi Arias trial and of course he knew nothing of it. Said he doesn't watch the news, etc. because it doesn't help him attain his goals in life. In some ways, he reminded me of Travis, actually.

Have any of you investigated this school of thought, "The Laws of Attraction?" Do any of you believe? Any anecdotal results to share? Conflicts with other religious belief systems?

I'm fascinated with the concept of Thinking Myself Happy. That would equate success for me. Very interested with anyone's experience. TIA
 
These jurors (and the alternates) have given of themselves in body and soul for almost six months. We have praised them for their attentiveness and attention to detail. We rejoiced when they gave her M1 AND agreed she met the requirements for especially cruel. Bless them for that. They did the best they could, and we owe them a huge debt of gratitude.
I'm sure they were devastated they were not able to come to a unanimous decision. They must have become a sort of family to one another, as we have here. I truly hope their inability to agree won't sever the connection they must feel with each other. Those twelve are the only ones that know exactly what went on during deliberations, and many of them may not be able to put a voice to their feelings, or describe why they voted the way they did to our satisfaction. And I pray they don't worry that that's necessary.
I hope they are able to continue the contact with one another, knowing that the other jurors may be the only ones to understand their feelings, whether they agreed with one another or not. It's quite the club they belong to, and the price they paid to belong was above what many of us here could, or would be, willing to pay.
It will be an adjustment for them to re-enter their old lives and put this behind them. I hope no one makes it any harder for them than it will already be.
May God bless them for their service.
 
If they decide to reseat a jury to hear this phase again, what is the process? Is it like a mini trial in order for the new jury to understand the evidence on which they will be ruling? I don't understand how they can be expected to make a verdict without knowing the evidence.

I wonder if somebody in PPL recorded his speeches. I have only seen the Eddie Snell video and another one where he is introduced as a bachelor both for PPL and IMO they are motivational speeches to motivate people to sell PPL products and might not have impressed some jurors, especially the Eddie Snell video. I would have made up a video, set to music, with still photos of Travis with his family/friends. I have seen them on YouTube. And I would throw in a lot of pics of Travis with Napoleon. :moo:

Would a video like that even be allowed?

I wondered the same, but then again - they probably wanted a break from seeing her ugly mug. I bet when they do finally see some of her interviews that they will be SHOCKED.
 
Being DP qualified does not mean they will vote for DP in any and all cases.
 
Jodi donated hair? Did she go down to the hospital and get tested to see if she can donate a kidney to her father? Thats what a reporter should have asked her.
