LISK didn't target Barthelemy because she knew Tangredi's daughter. He was clearly an opportunistic "regular john" who only struck when the circumstances were right. The Gilgo Four got into his vehicle by themselves. They weren't escorted to the vehicle by a friend, fellow working girl, or a pimp. LISK almost certainly picked up many girls over the years, most of whom survived simply because he noticed someone witnessing the pickup.

I think Bittrolff is a strong candidate, but the Tangredi-Barthelemy link is just coincidental.

There are coincidences in every case if you look hard enough.

LISK reportedly harassed the family of victim Melissa Barthelemy following her 2009 disappearance, calling and texting them using Barthelemy’s phone. According to the New York Post in 2011, police ultimately triangulated the killer’s calls to her family, with the cellphone pinging in both Manhattan (in the vicinity of Times Square and Madison Square Garden) and Massapequa.

According to the prosecutor, this evidence proved crucial as investigators honed in on the area: Cellphone data from at least one other victim also revealed that she was in the Massapequa area prior to her disappearance. “Cell site records show that the Waterman Phone traveled to Massapequa Park with the last cell site location being in Massapequa Park at approximately 3:11 a.m. in the vicinity of the residence of Defendant Heuermann,” prosecutors said.

Additionally, “On August 10, 2009, based upon subpoenaed travel documents, Heuermann departed for Iceland and all phone activity for the Barthelemy Phone stopped. On August 18, 2009, Heuermann returned from Iceland and phone activity for the Barthelemy Phone resumed the next day.”

The “burner” phone used to contact the victims was later linked to Heuermann using his American Express activity at the time of the phone’s purchase, as well as the cellphone’s usage in proximity to Heuermann’s then-New York City office.

A bail application filed by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said that Heuermann’s wife was out of the country in Iceland when Melissa Barthelemy vanished in July 2009.

Then in June 2010, cellphone billing records show she was in Maryland when Megan Waterman vanished. Waterman was last seen June 6, 2010.

Again in late August to early September 2010, she was in New Jersey when Amber Costello disappeared, last seen Sept. 2, 2010.

The whole part with Melissa B specifically made my blood boil tremendously in the already blood boiling case of LISK. LISK calls her family to harass her, and for years we knew LISK addressed her as a "half breed". Now years later it's revealed LISK confessed to raping her on the phonecall and she was found gagged during the GB4 discovery. AND the alleged perp was also stalking her family members over the years AND searched for really messed up stuff on Google.

I apologize if this has already been posted, however, this is something I just noticed. There is a conflict between dates posted for Melissa on the official victim page at Gilgo News and in the bail document Bail Document.

Gilgo News states on Melissa's victim page:
"Melissa Barthelemy was last seen at her residence, a basement apartment at 1149 Underhill Ave. in the Unionport section of the Bronx on July 12, 2009...On July 12, 2009, the night that she was last seen, Barthelemy told a friend she was going to see a man and would be back in the morning. This friend was aware she was a sex worker, but Barthelemy offered no other details. Her cellphone records show she traveled from the Bronx to Manhattan, most likely via taxi."

Bail Document:
"Melissa Barthelemy was last seen on July 10, 2009, in New York City...July 10, 2009 was the last day she was seen alive...On July 11 and July 12, 2009, the Barthelemy phone made two more outbound calls checking her voicemail from cell site locations in Babylon."

Why would there be different dates, at this point?

Hey, does anyone know if the bail application references any of the taunting phone calls that Melissa Barthelemy’s ‘boyfriend’ Johnny Terry also allegedly received in the weeks following Melissa’s disappearance? And also any reference to his claims that he told Suffolk County detectives that Melissa had a client on LI, that he had driven her there on at least two separate occasions, and also that he thought that he would be able to identify the area where the client lived, and possibly even the house as well?

He claimed that he provided all of this info to detectives shortly after her disappearance, and that no one from SCPD ever followed up.

It's frustrating to me that things are worded in particular ways, vaguely in some areas to press culpability without using RH's name or directly referring to him, then direct accusations using RH's name.

Well if his claims are authentic they were surely verified by the cell phone data obtained from Heuermann’s burner phones, if it was in fact Heuermann that placed the calls to Melissa’s x- boyfriend Johnny Terry…

Makes you wonder whether or not this was another lead that, like the description of the green Avalanche and physical description of Heuermann, was just not followed up on early in the investigation.

I wonder whether or not Johnny Terry was re-interviewed more recently. After all, assuming his claims have been verified, he could be called as a witness.

If his claims turned out to be bogus though, that could be a legitimate reason as to
why they were not included in bail application.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

One thing is for certain though: I can’t tell you how happy I am that they finally caught this evil dude, and that he will ultimately be held accountable for his atrocities against his victims.
