Body found in shallow grave during search for missing Lewis Co. teen

A body that could possibly be that of a missing 16-year-old boy has been found in a shallow grave on the property belonging to a relative of the boy’s friend, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office said.

But the sheriff’s office said information relayed to deputies was that the 16-year-old “had last been in contact with a same-aged male friend who lives nearby, the two of which had been friends for years.”

The investigation led detectives to search a remote property belonging to the friend’s relative, “where deputies received information of a possible shallow grave. Initially deputies were advised the gravesite was for a dog that had recently died. ”

But deputies instead found in the grave the body of an unidentified person.

Meanwhile, the sheriff’s office is trying to locate the missing boy’s friend, who has been identified as Benito Marquez and who goes by the name Benny, and Benny’s brother, Jonathan Adamson, 21.

2 arrested on suspicion of murder of missing Randle teen
On Saturday, the Lewis County Coroner's Office identified the remains of 16-year-old Ben Eastman, who had been missing for a week. The boy's remains were found in a shallow grave near Randle on Thursday.
“He was the perfect son,” his father Benjamin Eastman. “He was just taken too soon.”
“I lost my best friend, that’s about it,” Ben’s brother Derek added. “Everybody loved him. Even if it was the worst situation, he could make it the best.”
Late Friday night, the 21-year-old was booked into the Lewis County jail on suspicion of second murder. The 16-year-old was also booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention on suspicion of second-degree murder.

Brothers charged in rape, murder of 16-year-old Washington boy

Don't think it could get much worse than what this beautiful boy was put through. I hope the brothers burn in hell.

In charging documents obtained by Q13FOX, prosecutors said that phone records show the brothers lured the 16-year-old into the woods on June 24 for a camping trip in Randle, located about 110 miles south of Seattle.

Adamson told detectives that after Eastman joined the brothers, he was knocked to the ground and kicked more than 100 times by the pair, according to court documents. At one point, the 21-year-old allegedly told police the brothers sexually assaulted the teenager with a stick while he was still alive, Q13FOX reported.

Eastman was then allegedly struck repeatedly in the head with a rock to make sure he was dead, before being buried by the brothers in the grave.

This is horrible beyond belief. Heinous.

How on earth can someone who has been "friends for years" commit such evil against his friend?

May strength and comfort hold Ben's family close during this inexplicably difficult time.
