The Tacoma Police Department said Diana Davis, 50, has been missing since July 27.

Officers found a silver Chevy Impala July 29 registered to Davis fully engulfed in flames in the 1600 block of Court “E” in downtown Tacoma.

Investigators said Davis is about 5-feet-5, weighing 105 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The 50-year-old lives in the Auburn area, police said.

Anyone with information on Davis’ whereabouts, including any suspicious persons or activity in the area where her burned vehicle was found, are asked to call 1-800-222-TIPS.

Yes, finding the car was already known. There is no new information in the King5 news article, but thanks for posting the link.

Missing Auburn woman's body found near Snoqualmie Pass; case investigated as homicide

Good luck to Tacoma police and Seattle Sheriff’s Office. It is the second case of a woman’s mysterious disappearance from Auburn this year. The cases might be unrelated, but surely a concern.

“The King County Medical Examiner confirmed this week that a body found near Snoqualmie Pass was that of Diana Davis of Auburn.

Davis was reported missing on July 29 after her 2013 silver Chevy Impala was found fully engulfed in flames in the 1600 block of Court “E” in downtown Tacoma. She had been last seen two days before at a community garden.

On Aug, 5, the King County Sheriff’s Office recovered the body of an unidentified woman near Snoqualmie Pass, according to the Tacoma Police Department. A medical examiner positively identified the person as Davis on Monday.

The Tacoma Police Department, in coordination with the King County Sheriff’s Office, will be investigating this case as a homicide.

Police declined to reveal information about how Davis died or any additional information about possible suspects, citing the ongoing investigation.

Davis leaves behind a son, daughter and grandchildren, according to a fundraising website.

I'll report the post that says she's deceased so that a mod sees it. Sometimes they just get busy, especially if a thread goes sideways.

i think the question was slightly differently ment (as the thread was already moved earlier)

@AskMeNoQuestions
The discussion will go on in the same thread (the forum has changed), only if we hit more than 50 pages, we will open thread #2

I know this case is not unique, but I am amazed by the lack of follow up. I could not find any reports since the initial report of her body being located.

Edited: I realize it hasn't been that long in the grand scheme of things, but very little in the way of police or media attention on this case. I'm sure LE are working the case, and maybe they don't need public input anymore (they were asking for witnesses in early articles).

Agree! Why is there no follow up at all
