Here it says: "Body lost or destroyed... Her remains were accidentally cremated by the coroner's office along with those of unidentified persons".
Is this true? They didn't left a bone behind???

I posted what was stated on find a grave. I do not know if the statement regarding identification of the remains is true, or perhaps speculation. Find a grave's statements are in conflict with other sites.

Here is what the Doe Network currently says on the subject:

"Bundy claimed that Georgeann's remains were found with two of his other victims, Janice Ott and Denise Naslund, in Lake Sammamish State Park; investigators had found an extra leg bone and extra vertebrae at the site, but had been unidentified at the time and - so far - were never positively identified as Georgeann's."

This should be the body minus the head since he confessed that he buried it in another place. LE could not find it up to now.
I wonder if the leg bone and extra vertebrae are lost. If not they might be tested with DNA technology.

Yes it was policy back then to cremate or send to landfills remains that had been in storage for too long. There is no telling how many of Bundy's victims would have been identified had it not been for that policy.

I wonder if remains in landfills can be identified with teams like these one:
EAAF
These guys have helped identify people in common graves from the Argentinean dictatorsihip from the late 70s . "Since EAAF was founded, other forensic anthropology teams have been established in Chile (1989), Guatemala (1991), and Peru (2001). Today, the Latin American teams exchange members for cross-training and occasionally work together on foreign missions. Notable among the latter have been the United Nations War Crimes Tribunals in former Yugoslavia. In February 2003, members of these teams and other forensic anthropologists working in Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela gathered to form the Association of Latin American Forensic Anthropologists."

Maybe there is something like this that can be used in multiple graves in the US

There's probably a plethora of human remains buried in U.S. landfills; but I seldom hear of bodies being recovered. I suppose it's because of the expense.

Thanks for drawing our attention to these photos, Beekarina, and also for lighting a candle for this lovely young lady who couldn't be more deserving of your sweet gesture .

Ms. Hawkins disappeared from the University of Washington campus after 1am on June 11, 1974. She was last seen in the alley outside of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. She had been to a fraternity party earlier in the evening, and visited her boyfriend, Marvin Gellatly, on the way back to her sorority house.
