I have my doubts that this could be Donna Manson. As you say there is the skull who Ted Bundy supposedly burned. The other story is: The skeleton remains of Donna Manson may have been found 20 years ago in the foothills of Mount Rainier. But confirming the identity of Donna Gail Manson might prove impossible because the Pierce County Sheriff's Department lost the remains a few years after their discovery and also the file got lost (sighhhhh) I read somewhere else that Ted Bundy claimed that her partial remains had been recovered on Taylor Mountain in Washington state in 1975 but that they had never been identified. I don't know this last case.

Considering the "homemade" cross, I don't think this is the work of a serial killer but a more personal "thing". Possibly even an accidental dead or a dead due to an illness.

Ted Bundy claimed that he dumped Manson’s remains on taylor mountain and that her partial skeleton was found along within most of his victims in 1975 but there is no record of an unidentified decedent from 1975 in Washington. Police and investigating agenicies and Donnas parents do not believe that the pierce county skeleton found in 1978 is her and the sweater that was found with the remains was shown to Donnas parents and they stated that it did not belong to her. Police think her body may still be on Taylor mountain. Police were very neglectent and irresponsible back then when it came to handling unidentified human remains.
