I hope the innocent children are healing and are being raised in a loving, healthy environment. I can’t inagine the horror they have e survived.

i guess I’m old-fashioned but to me it seemed odd that the woman, her husband and her boyfriend were abusive to the children. And punished the kids for not memorizing bible verses ....??? She is married and has a boyfriend, abuses kids but places an importance on Christian virtues???

I believe they are actually referring to 4 people, the uncle, the aunt, the bio mom and bio mom's boyfriend.... That's how I read it anyway, but I'm not sure, so consider this just a speculation.

"MANITOWOC (WLUK) -- A judge denied a motion Monday to dismiss one of the counts filed against a man accused in connection with the death of a 7-year-old boy....

Timothy Hauschultz...faces felony murder and other counts, while her charges include intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a minor causing death.

Their son, Damian Hauschultz, 15, is charged with first-degree reckless homicide for allegedly causing the death. He returns to court June 21.

In court Monday, Timothy Hauschultz asked for a count of intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child causing death be dismissed, arguing it is duplicative to another count, that of intentional contributing to the delinquency of a child. But Judge Jerilyn Dietz denied the request, court records show...

No trial date has been set for Timothy Hauschultz, who previously pleaded not guilty to all eight charges. A settlement conference with prosecutors will be held June 17.

"...Ethan Hauschultz, 7, of Newton died on April 20, 2018, as a result of hypothermia and blunt force injuries, according to an investigator's report from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office. A 15-year-old boy, Damian Hauschultz, was arrested, along with Damian's father, Timothy Hauschultz, and step-mother, Tina McKeever-Hauschultz, on charges related to Ethan's death. MANITOWOC (WLUK) -- A competency exam was ordered Wednesday for a woman charged in connection with the death of a 7-year-old boy.

Tina McKeever-Hauschultz faces four counts, including intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child causing death, for the April 2018 death of Ethan Hauschultz.

The competency exam will determine if McKeever-Hauschultz comprehends the legal proceedings, and if she can assist in her own defense. Hearing on adult vs. juvenile court in boy's death rescheduled

MANITOWOC (WLUK) -- A hearing to determine if a 15-year-old charged with reckless homicide for the death of a boy will stay in adult court has been pushed back to Oct. 28.

In Wisconsin, children ages 10-16 charged with certain homicide counts have their cases handled in the adult court system from the start. However, the defense can ask for a "reverse waiver," seeking to send the case to juvenile court. Such a request is pending for Damian Hauschultz, but because he was appointed a new attorney late last month, the hearing was delayed from Friday to Oct. 28.

Damian Hauschultz has been ordered to stand trial in adult court, but has not yet entered a plea in the case.

Woman charged in Manitowoc Co. boy's death ruled incompetent to stand trial

July 12th 2019

"MANITOWOC (WLUK) – A woman charged in connection with the death of a 7-year-old boy has been ruled incompetent to stand trial...

McKeever-Hauschultz, 35, is charged with failing to prevent bodily harm, and intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child....

Based on the findings of the psychiatric review, McKeever-Hauschultz was deemed incompetent to stand trial at this time, court records show. That means she cannot comprehend the proceedings and/or assist in her own defense.

Judge Jerilyn Dietz ordered inpatient treatment with the Department of Health Services. Should she be deemed competent to stand trial in the future, the criminal case would resume. Her mental status will be reviewed next at a Sept. 30 hearing.

The ruling does not address her mental state of the time of Ethan Hauschultz’s death; that issue could be raised at a later stage of the case, if it resumes....
