This is what I saw and I’m sharing it as it seems to be a still taken from msm per the inset title... so maybe it was banged up and someone dumped it or.... maybe someone marked it up after they pulled it up.

From above: "Your children and your spouse become your worst enemy, and you truly believe they are after you."

I can tell you from first hand experience that this is a true statement. My sister and her children were not lucky enough to recognize this could even be a possibility when my BIL became addicted to meth. At one time a very successful man who no one ever dreamed could become a violent and delusional murderer.

I have witnessed the irrational, unexplained, and violent thoughts and behaviors from someone who suddenly had unexplained superhuman strength.

Knowing that Jayme most likely witnessed this type of behavior that night has kept me awake more than once. It's the stuff nightmares are made of. Even IF it were someone the family knew- none of them could have ever imagined something like this could happen.

Time for me to take a little break from the case. I'll check back in from time to time..... and keep praying for Jayme.:)

Dough, So sorry to hear about your personal case.:(:(:(
I hope to see you back here soon:)

Could the settlement with DC in 2011 been a civil case with the neighbors. <modsnip - rumor> There could have been an ongoing feud between the homes.

I'm going crazy (short trip) with this case. I'm going to try to just stick to theories because I can never find a link for whatever I want to post about. So, on that note I'm going to forget about the how for a while and focus on the who.

I believe the person responsible is either from that area or spends time there for one reason or another; it could be for work, relatives, bars/parties, friends, etc. If he was just passing through at that time of night, I don't believe he'd know JC was there (or even existed) and I don't believe he would be likely to show that kind of rage and carelessness with someone he'd never met. For all a stranger knows, there could be 6 guys who sit around at night with the lights off (if they were off) all holding loaded guns watching for fox, bear, coyotes, burglars (?), or whatever, to shoot. There could also be a meth lab there with very tight security, or any number of other things that would make kicking in the front door a rather dumb idea.

I'm going to base this on the idea that JC is alive because I'd prefer it that way... This could be a guy with a cabin he uses when he hunts, and he'd probably usually hunt alone. That way he could take her there, go out and check on her, feed her, etc. without worrying about someone dropping in unexpectedly. He most likely spends most of his time at his home, and may be likely to go to the funeral just because it might seem suspicious if he didn't. I still think he may have gone west when he left the house and either turned onto a side road to get to his cabin or gone to Poskin, turned around and headed back to Barron - which would take long enough that LE would already be at the house and wouldn't be expecting him to be driving toward the crime scene rather than away from it. It's possible, if that's the case, that he never passed any of the surveillance cameras and the other cars had nothing to do with anything.

I don't believe that taking her was his only motive or I think he could have found a way with less, or even no, carnage. I'm not even sure if he really wanted JC or if he just didn't kill her because his beef was with her parents, and now he's not sure what to do with her. Unfortunately, even if every word were correct, it wouldn't get us much closer to finding her. I believe that pretty much every town, city, village, large or small, has more than one man with an anger management problem who holds grudges. I'm also pretty sure that most, if not all, small towns have at least 1 or 2 of those guys who own cabins and hunt. MOO

This may have been pointed out.

Why in the dispatch log do the police go to St Croix Casino?

Cameras. I believe someone said theres cameras on the building that face Hwy 8.

Yes, I believe access to camera footage would have been the reason. We know LE has gathered security footage from private homes and businesses, and I'm sure it wouldn't have been the first time that the casino has helped out LE with footage in other instances, considering it is located right on US-8, a road with seemingly many travelers. Jmo

Additionally, here are some posts that I found to be helpful on this topic, one from Thread #6 by PommyMommy in response to a similar question pertaining to the casino being referenced on the dispatch log:
Security has access to video camera footage.

"Also, footage from various surveillance cameras throughout Barron County has been collected to be reviewed by officers for possible clues to a suspect and vehicle."

And another from Thread #8, crhedBngr posted a screenshot of a camera in front of the casino (attached):
I managed to circle the camera on the building corner next to the front entrance at St. Croix Casino.

Here's the photo. You will see the camera circled in pink.

BTW: Please don't mind the sheep on the bottom of the photo

They are my screen pets.

Interesting. I can only enlarge my pic 500% and I can't see it there. Wonder what the numbers mean?

. When i used to work for a repo company. We’d tag them like that with numbers if it was a wreck, voluntarily surrender, forced surrender , lot number, if it was involved in a crime.... could mean anything.

Just curious, On the dispatch log, 6th page, 8th entry down, why would they be faxing info to Ontonagon county Sheriffs Dept. That is in Michigan. Just something I didn't notice before
That's telling. Maybe Denise's cell phone was unlocked and there was evidence on there or found text messages that somehow were linked to that area. It's not that far of a drive and you could leave the Close house and drive that same route from their house up the road they were searching.

Yeah, I can’t follow all the spinning wheels and rehashing of things we’ve discussed since thread three. It’s exhausting. My heart hurts for these victims. We’re not helping anyone with what we know right now.

Unfortunately there's nothing we can do with the information we have right now, just have to hope LE gets a break soon. It gets stale quick when nothing gets released but hopefully they have more than they're telling us.

It's kind of like the Watts thread. Been pretty much zero information since the arrest and we're just spinning our wheels rehashing the same points

I pulled up the house on Google street view. For anyone who hasn't, it's enlightening. The house is set back from the road with trees in front of it. Anyone just driving by would be unlikely to notice someone working or playing in the yard - maybe during the winter with the leaves off, but not during the rest of the year. It is also a good distance from the neighbors, with a lot of trees in between. Doesn't surprise me at all that the neighbors knew little of what went on there (including whether there was a child).

Anyone whose pulled up the house if you go toward Anderson Dairy there is a house across the way. Behind it is some strange structure. What is that? A barn. Also, the area seems so wide open. Hope someone checks that small body of water. The Barron flowage.. I feel like with all that open space she could literally be anywhere.

True. Bashing down a door. Using something apparently super high calibre and thus noisy...

Makes me think either super enraged, super stupid, or super psychopathic and enjoyed the drama and fear of the crime.

Really narrows it down, right?
If I wanted to break a windshield a glass door or whatever I would use a broken spark plug by throwing it at the glass. It’s literally silent when it breaks the entire piece.

I looked at careers on the Jennie-O company site, reviews from Indeed and Glassdoor.
Preference is bilingual- Spanish and Somali.
The first is normal for a lot of jobs but the second one was a surprise.

There is a large Somali population in Minnesota and surprisingly Maine, where my parents live. My mom learned some Somali for her job at a hospital.

I remember this from an earlier case in MN:

Approximately one-third of all Somali-Americans reside in Minnesota, a state with a population of around 5.4 million. The 2015 American Community Survey estimates that 74,000 Somalis reside in the state. This estimate includes all Somalis, whether born in Somalia or the United States

Reward doubles to $50,000 in case of missing girl whose parents were slain

“He said the real challenge for investigators is prioritizing what leads might be most likely to bear fruit. Another challenge is managing it all and making sure that someone takes a look at what is found to try to connect the dots.“

“In order to connect the dots you have to be able to collect the dots.”

Haven't seen this posted but my brain is exhausted. I can't imagine what re-entering the home would be like for family if they choose to do so. Funeral tomorrow. There is so much for this family to face. Sending them prayers of comfort and strength. Hoping to wake up in the am to good news asI have done since this happened. I'm not going to let go of hope yet.
UPDATE: Closs home turned back over to family

Once and a while these things hit me. Most of the time I'm really confused. Haha

Something just hit me, as well.

Many have questioned why the perp(s) would hang around at the house for 20+ minutes after shooting the father, because someone might have heard and called police. Maybe we've missed the obvious - what if the perp had a scanner tuned to the local police frequency? He would have known that no call was made regarding the gunshots and that he had plenty of time. He would also know when the 911 call was made, and if Jayme was hiding and made the call - he would then know that she was in the house.
