Okay, time for a more general question. As a disclaimer, I'm not intending to start any trouble, because... you know... that would be very unlike me.

Are we all just chasing our tails with stairs, ATVs, patio doors, wells, trailer hitches, casinos, etc.?

How many of you really have other things on your mind that you feel unable or willing to discuss here? I'm not looking for any specifics or theories. I'm just looking for a general idea of how many have a 51% or better idea of what really happened, or if you feel as clueless as Fitzgerald pretends to be?

I have exactly 3 possibilities I go back and forth between and couldnt discuss any of them here. I dont feel clueless, though I know I could be very wrong. And I definitely still dont think Fitzgerald is as clueless as he pretends to be.

My kid plays a competitive sport. We have probably been to 7 hotels in the past year and they have taken photos at all of them. Solo pictures and group pictures. I wouldn’t be surprised if her dance competitions required a hotel stay sometimes. Sometimes we get a room because we get the early game time and have to be there at 6 am - we don’t want to leave at 5am even if it’s just an hour away. And the PINK shirts are all over the middle school. I must see 20 or more at drop off or pick up.

Where was it ever stated Jayme was in dance competitions? I thought she just took dance lessons which most little girls do. Same with cross country track. She was in the 7th or 8th grade. That age usually runs around a track at the football field. She certainly wasn't traveling great distances to compete. I just don't think abduction was the motive, but a horrible outcome. jmo

Dude! I'm going to go to the home layout first...I'm a Realtor and for the life of me I can't grasp the interior layout of this home mainly due to the "odd" location of that darn china cabinet in videos. Looking at the front elevation, I would put the living room to the left of the front door only because of the window layout (however, most homes w/tuck under garages have the bedrooms "above" the garage). Then creepy panty thief said JC's bedroom was just to the right of the Kitchen (access from the sliders)? that all just doesn't make sense to me. Where the heck are the stairs going to the basement???!!!

The china cabinet is my biggest problem - LE states "open layout" well with what we know, the Living Room is to the left of the front door, china cabinet (which is maybe tucked into a closet on the wall to back of stairs). Then Dining/Kitchen to the right - BUT that is NOT an open layout. Maybe panty thief had it wrong and we are just running with what he said?? I don't know.

There is no online data about the home. No indication of how many beds/baths/square footage. They must have purchased in a private sale because there is no online sales information.

I still feel that this was a planned attack, maybe even "hired" & maybe the wrong house? Don't believe JC was involved at all. Think once the 911 call was made, JC was the only thing left that would buy the perp some time if caught. IMO.

IMO, for starters- at this point all you can look at are facts that have been released by Fitzgerald, the family and actual pictures of the home and surrounding area.

The home. There seems to me to be three doors to get in/out. The front door, the sliding glass doors, and the garage doors on the lower level. The house is surrounded by woods, on a busy road. There is no back door.

Secondly, there is no serious problems noted with any family member and an enemy.

Thirdly, the crime happened fast. The intruder came armed. Jayme was missing and her parents shot dead without any time to put up a defense.

Finally, the 911 call is clear evidence there was some time for the caller to realize help was needed.

Theory 1: The perp was prepared and armed. The motive had to involve killing. It was cold, calculated. Jayme was a witness and I can’t fathom why she was taken if that’s what it was.

In either case, the 911 call may been detected by the perp and hastened what was already a fast moving crime. I know the dispatcher tried to call back, so maybe the phone ringing changed his mind about killing an innocent 13 year old girl.

I’m sorry I can’t say if she did or didn’t participate in any. I did not mean to imply that was a given just could be why she’d be at a hotel. My daughter is in seventh grade and we travel states away for events multiple times a year.

Yes, Jayme may have been spotted through her recitals and tracked back to her home. It is possible. On the other hand, I think it has been cleared up here last night, she may have, from time to time, waited at the end of the driveway for her school bus. If so, she might have been spotted by a transient (or local, for that matter) driving along that busy road around the same time as the bus pick up schedule. What do you all think? Am I understanding correctly she caught the school bus sometimes from the house where the abduction took place?

ETA: it seems a lot of school buses these days have pretty good cameras. They may be situated mostly on activity in the bus, but it may be some are equipped with cameras on the outside, for when the bus stops, to track those who don’t stop like they should. Not sure.

Roughly 275 cars/trucks an hour (6600 a day) drive that stretch of road and if the attacker was at the house for approximately 5 minutes that means the potential for 22.9 cars/trucks with occupants that may have seen something. Probably fewer though, given the time of night.

Hey mama - I think we pretty much agree on the strangeness of the layout. And the strangeness of Barron. I know what you mean about the china cabinet thing, but I try to just discount that since it's a piece of furniture and not part of the structure. Perhaps it was moved to that spot to block the press cameras? Probably not, but who knows? The one other possibility that I thought of, which would work in a couple of different places is a spiral staircase. I've seen them before in small houses. Maybe an elevator! I think I'm on to something...

She was definitely well loved, trampoline, dog, clothes, and why I don’t see her being anything but devastated over deaths... coulda been misread by young crush... but that would be it..

North face is expensive but if your patient it all usually hits 40 percent off from time to time..unless it’s the 3 layer.. Everest jackets.

My nieces are older now but even at age 10 they had their big special suitcases for the dance competitions they went to. It depends on the dance studio as to how intense it is

It did seem that picture looked accurate the hutch style cabinet was right in front of the door. A few posts back, there was picture of carpet roled in the back of a vehicle, and some suspected it was taken by the investigators for analysis. All that to say, the hutch may have been moved from its original spot in order to do that. All the same, if that is the case, it was done very carefully, because all the nick knacks in it don’t seem to have been toppled over.

I saw a picture of Jayme by a cabinet that was filled with a lot of stuff. Who knows where. It was agaimst a wall.

Well considering that her best friend posted the pic, I would assume that her best friend took the pic. Maybe LE lent them a phone from the evidence room but I'm just gonna go with something along the lines of a possible outing for dance that may or may not be at the casino hotel pool. Maybe The closs family brought Jayme's friend along on one of Jim's wild gambling sprees and this could be the clue we've all been looking for or just maybe it has absolutely nothing to do with this crime
