Was looking at a different case and came across this possible match.

    https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/30201/55/

Height is similar and build, age would have been similar if he drifted for a bit. Hair seems to fit longer with receding hairline. Doesn't describe his tattoo on his left forearm but says he has one.

Another long shot - has black hair & black moustache. He is an inch under the height estimation.

Has been missing since 1982, so 11 years before this discovery...

Cold case: Kenosha County medical examiner turns to Smithsonian to help ID John Doe
    Aug 24 2018

    "KENOSHA, Wis. —
It's been almost 25 years since the body of John Doe was found near railroad tracks in Pleasant Prairie, and the Kenosha County medical examiner is turning to the Smithsonian Institution for help."

"Kenosha County Medical Examiner Patrice Hall recently engaged the services of forensic scientists at the Smithsonian Institution who will use isotopic analysis of one of the man's teeth to try to learn more about his origins.

"I'm hoping with this isotope analysis that I can narrow down where in the world this person is from," Hall said. "It's literally a shot in the dark, but we’ll give it a whirl and see what happens."

I'm just copying this important info onto a larger area. Thanks, iulia.

Isotope analysis completed in November 2018 suggests the decedent may have been from the following locations: Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and southern regions of the Canadian provinces (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec). There is also a slight possibility for a region of origin in Colorado, New Brunswick (Canada), and New Foundland (Canada).

    From the link:

KENOSHA — The Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office announced on Tuesday, Jan. 14 an update on a 1993 John Doe case. New DNA information now suggests the man may have ties to an American Indian tribe in South Carolina — and to relatives in Sonora, Mexico.

Kenosha County Medical Examiner Patrice Hall said in a news release that DNA database research by the nonprofit, volunteer DNA Doe Project revealed some distant matches between the Kenosha County John Doe and others who appear to be descended from the relatively small Catawba Indian Nation. Hall encourages anyone who believes they recognize the John Doe to contact the Pleasant Prairie Police Department at 262-694-7353.

    [...]

Based along the Catawba River in far-northern South Carolina, the tribe states it currently has more than 3,300 enrolled members. Hall has made contact with the coroner’s office in York County, S.C., where the Catawba reservation is located, and is actively seeking tips from anyone who might know of the man’s identity.

The recent DNA review also found possible matches with people of Hispanic descent, some of whom had ancestors from Sonora, Mexico. Hall and project volunteers will continue to seek out possible connections.

The Catawba Nation has a Facebook page, maybe someone could get ahold of a moderator and post links in there.

For those who have not viewed the Google Sheet:

Kenosha John Doe has fairly good matches. He has 11 high-level matches, with his highest being 78.7 cm. We should be seeing an identification sometime this year.

He has a new match over 100 cM and about 100 matches over 40 cM, I am wondering what is the reason he has still not been identified?
