Less than a week and they FINALLY go to trial. Given the findings in the complaint, their obvious attempt to lie and cover up the crime, their delay in calling EMT's waiting for the father to come home and cook up a story with them, and the father lying as to "hearing a heartbeat" on a girl...

I cannot believe this. what is wrong with that jury. Now that it is over, I can confess I have known these people personally for over ten years and even I believe they are guilty. Prior to this incident I would not have, but given their lies, their delay in calling EMS, the testimony of the coroner and doctors to the investigating police, all of that - they killed that girl and tried to cover it up. They had four years to prepare for the trial and put on a good show of remorse - remorse and concern they did NOT show that day it happened. I can tell you this from knowing them.....for mama and papa lies come easily. Their entire mentality is one of they are not to blame for anything, it is everybody else to blame but them. They believe they are constantly victimized. That persona is fully part of their being so of course it came across in their tearful performance on the stand. Justice was NOT served. Damn.

Selah, you were denied the opportunity to grown into the strong, beautiful woman you were born to be. I am deeply sorry for the wrongs you suffered in your brief life. May you be happily reunited with your sister one day.
