DARLINGTON — An Argyle man convicted of killing his three young nephews in a house fire last September asked a judge Friday to withdraw his guilty pleas because of new evidence and inconsistent statements made by the children’s mother regarding his whereabouts at the time of the blaze.

A letter to the Monroe Times, claiming to be from Sharon Wand, states that her husband and his brother are innocent and didn't set the fire that killed her three boys and resulted in severe burns to her body.

There's some new information here, as well: http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/lo...cle_8788670e-c273-53b9-8b5e-402a69c06e84.html

Peterson said Wand, who was also badly burned in the fire and is still recovering from her injuries, wrote the letter after visiting her husband in prison about a month ago and then spending about a week living with her husband’s sister, Tammy Wand, in Argyle.

...

She said Sharon Wand told her she visited her husband in prison because she wanted closure. Instead, she said, Armin Wand was “lovey-dovey with her” and used the same controlling techniques he used during their marriage to convince her of his innocence.

“She wanted to believe he didn’t do it when she knows he did,” Peterson said.

I'm not going to link to Ms. Wand's facebook profile here, and I am not going to repeat any of the rumors/etc. that are going on on there, but if you search for it and read all the comments, it's interesting...in the way that witnessing a car crash is interesting.

Regarding your last statement. Yes. Interesting. I also noticed that it looks like the surviving child (that the father tried to put back into the fire) was born with facial abnormalities of some sort......

The father/uncle have facial abnormalities of some sort as well. I can still see those mug shots in the head...

I hate the new facebook search feature. Quaker steak & lube in Sharon, PA keeps popping up for me when I try to search for Sharon Wand.

K I found it!

Damn....

Wow just wow...

Oh man. I feel so sad for her. It's obvious from her interview and looking at her FB that she has learning difficulties. Good for her that she's proven that she can do this. On her FB it says she got her GED in 2013 and she's obviously taken life skill classes to show social services that she can try and be a good mom. Hopefully with her new partner and her sisters to support her she'll be ok.

Court: Pleas Properly Entered in Wisconsin Fatal Fire Case

A Wisconsin appeals court has rejected arguments from a man convicted of setting a fatal house fire that his statements should have been suppressed and his guilty pleas withdrawn.

(Snipped)

The 4th District Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that Wand's arguments were undeveloped and the report doesn't qualify as newly discovered evidence that would warrant plea withdrawals.
