In the LISK case Spota jumped right in when he should have said back and kept his mouth shut. In the TV show Law & Order it always begins with : ''''''. tw.o separate and equal groups of people. The cops who investigate,,,,,and the DA that prosecutes the offenders....' - or words to that effect. Now that is true.

In the early phases of the case no one really knows anything.....that is unless you do or think you do.

Gets into a street fight with the other idiot PC Dormer as to how many killers there might have been. Spota is creating problems even before there are any. Somebody has to be wrong and when it comes out the defense has an authority ( PC or DA) to quote.

Spota, IMO, was worried about something. He needed to control the flow of the information lest something comes out that would embarrass the establishment out there. He jumps right in an gives Brewer a pass. IMO, there is NO way Brewer could have been eliminated so fast as a prime person of interest. Then there was the 'exoneration' of Jim Bissett. How the heck do you eliminate him as a POI even after he kills himself so soon after SG body is found. Now I am not saying both JB's did it or didn't do it.

Then we have the shooting of GaryMelius/Oheka Castle. Spota jumps right in. Homicide is handling this highly charged case, but the powers that be get Criminal Intel ( Jim Hickey)involved. He then adds his DA Detectives into the case. WHY?

Chances are, the killer was/is married, and the wife is privy to details and information that no one else could have had access to.

Absolutely. While many people might suspect they have/had a relationship with LISK, someone actually DOES.

And after 10 years and cold, LE should be listening very closely to all the wives/girlfriends, etc, who might have something to say. If nothing else, the Bundy case taught us that.

I'm sure this is quite a difficult and terrifying situation for you, and I'm sorry LE hasn't been responsive.

The retired NYPD would be me. This has NOTHING to do with LISK. We can't even blame Tom Spota for this one, but we can blame him for refusing to follow up on credible evidence presented to him that the man now sitting in jail for that crime didn't do it.. You should also note that I have reason to believe that when this innocent man goes before his parole board at his next hearing he will admit to a crime he didn't do because if he doesn't there will be NO chance of being paroled.

There was a lot of "not following up" in the Manners case. If they had they would have found out the group of four young men parked by Shore rd at 2 in the morning KNEW Chris Loliscio.

You were not in court the day John Ray showed up for the Spota Trial. But as John walked through the
hallways of the Central Islip court house, people's tongues were wagging. And ONE or Two or more tongues
wagging were Trimarco peeps.

You do know that the daddy of the little girl(Scheafer?) who won the award of $3M was a man who was killed by SCPD
behind closed doors, and who shows up to take the money back but Tri-marco - TRI - means THREE.
and even better - who shows up to sue Trimarco but that sleazy slimy John Ray who lives in a sewer.

I was watching the A&E series about the Long Island Serial Killer and heard about websleuths. While I watch cold case documentaries I find myself often googling, as I expect many of you do. During the "Joe Foti" segment of the show I did a quick google search of the name and found that not much was being said regarding it. As many of you probably did, I first thought it was a stretch to assume that police would release a name via wikipedia alluding to the killer.

I did however continue to search and came across the obituary of a Frank Joseph Foti who died November of 2017 at the age of 42 of West Babylon NY. (Link Below) I found it interesting that he loosely fits the profile of the killer. After continuing to search I found that not much else could be found about this man other than the address associated with him. 235 Arnold Avenue, West Babylon

Going through the family photos left on the obituary, it shows that he was formerly a Marine. He had a wife and two kids. There is a photo of him working on power lines, so it could be assumed he's an electrician. Lastly, If you throw that address into google maps, you'll find his address sits just north of the LISK dumping ground. His death also could explain why he hasn't been caught.

This is all I have for you. This is also a stretch but perhaps there is something here.

I believe it was from an edit on Wikipedia regarding the LISK. Someone had changed the name entered to JF as a suspect. When looking at the IP address, the edit was tracked to the SCPD. This was on, if I remember correctly "The Killing Season".

Sorry I misunderstood your question but that part was apparently true. JF was a corrections officer accused by female inmates of sexual harrassment/misconduct.

With all due respect, Hawk , it IS either one killer or more than one killer, so one of the " two idiots " stands a 50/50 chance of being right.

I was listening to the LISK podcast and something struck me. Joe Brewer allegedly made the comment to Shannan's driver, Michael Pak, that he didn't have sex with her, "Because she was a man."

Quite obviously she wasn't, but he was speaking as if he had been duped before...Enter Asian Male John Doe, who was bludgeoned to death and allegedly matched the physical stature of the women who were murdered, albeit by strangulation.

To beat someone to death with your hands or even a foreign object shows extreme rage. As most people who follow these cases know, Ted Bundy was no stranger to bludgeoning.

I think it's safe to say that if someone was paying for an escort that they thought was female and suddenly found out they were male...especially after consummating a sexual act, that would be all certain types of men would need to fly into a completely psychotic rage.

That comment just sticks with me..."She's a man."
