THE fiancé of missing woman Gabby Petito's chilling Instagram post before their road trip has been revealed.

Petito has been missing for two weeks after going on a cross-country road trip with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie.

The 22-year-old New Yorker was last seen on August 24 after leaving a hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah, with Laundrie.

While Gabby never returned home, her fiancé did and has since made headlines after he reportedly hired an attorney and refused to work with the police.

In an Instagram post shared last year, Laundrie wrote: "My biggest fear is that one day I’ll wake up and it will have all been a dream, because that is what every second has felt like since the moment we found each other.

"Till death do us part or until I wake up, I’m so happy the answer was yes, Love you hunny."
____________

OFFICERS WERE CALLED TO 'INCIDENT'

Officers were called about an incident involving Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito about two weeks before she was last seen, Fox News reported on Tuesday night.

"Our officers did respond to an incident involving Brian Laundrie and Gabrielle Petito on 12 August 2021 however, neither Brian or Gabrielle were the reporting party," Moab Chief of Police Bret Edge told the outlet.

"Officers conducted an investigation and determined that insufficient evidence existed to justify criminal charges."
______________

'HOW CAN HE STAY IN THE BACKGROUND?'

"The Schmidt and Petito family beg the Laundrie family to not 'remain in the background' but to help find who Brian referred to as the love of his life," Gabby Petito's family said on Tuesday.

"How does Brian stay in the background when he is the one person that knows where Gabby is located?"

BRIAN LAUNDRIE 'REFUSING TO HELP'

"Brian is refusing to tell Gabby's family where he last saw her," the family of the missing 22-year-old said in a statement on Tuesday evening.

"Brian is also refusing to explain why he left Gabby all alone and drove her van to Florida.

"These are critical questions that require immediate answers."

GABBY PETITO FAMILY ISSUES STATEMENT

"The Schmidt and Petito family are going through the worst moments of their lives," the statement issued Tuesday read.

"Their beautiful 22-year-old daughter is missing and the one person that can help find Gabby refuses to help.

"Brian Laundrie was traveling with Gabby in the Grand Teto - Yellowstone area.

"They were traveling together in Gabby's 2012 Ford Transit van. That is where we believe Gabby was last seen."

Cops were called out to 'incident' involving missing van life girl and her fiancé | Daily Mail Online

Utah police have revealed they responded to an 'incident' involving 22-year-old 'van-life woman' Gabby Petito and her boyfriend, just two weeks before she was last seen in Wyoming.

'Our officers did respond to an incident involving Brian Laundrie and Gabrielle Petito on 12 August 2021 however, neither Brian or Gabrielle were the reporting party,'

'Officers conducted an investigation and determined that insufficient evidence existed to justify criminal charges,' Moab Chief of Police Bret Edge told Fox News.

It not clear what the incident was about.

Gabby Petito's mom says daughter's beau, family ignored her desperate texts

SNIPPED:
Petito has described her beau as her fiancé in social media, but Schmidt told the paper that her daughter and Laundrie decided to call of their engagement because they felt they were too young to tie the knot.

“I think they kind of put that on hold just because they felt it was a little fast. They were excited at first, but then they were like, ‘Let’s just wait, we’re very young.’ So they were really just boyfriend and girlfriend,” Schmidt said.

Missing woman's haunting songs on Spotify account may provide answers (fox35orlando.com)
A series of haunting songs appeared on missing New York woman Gabby Petito’s Spotify on Sept. 1, a day after her mother last received text messages from her phone.

Many of the songs, collected on an account she appeared to share with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, focus on love and heartache.

"Your woman is your angel, is your left side, is your whole life; easily the most beautiful thing in the world," one song, Matt Berry’s "Woman," begins. "She'll soothe you; she'll accuse you; she'll confuse you; she'll lose you but always be the best friend you have in the world."

Another song, "Take My Hand," is about picking up a stranger at a bar. "The Badger’s Wake" is about a badger decomposing underground.

The four Berry songs appeared on the "Mtn tops" playlist on Sept. 1. A day before that, a new list emerged titled "Selfconsumption."

North Port police found the white van the couple was traveling in over the weekend. It was outside the couple’s home, a short distance away from their headquarters. Police say they lived there with the boyfriend’s parents.

“Right now, we are not even sure that we have a crime. What we have is a missing person. That is obviously minute by minute and it could evolve at any time,” Taylor explained. “It has not been helpful that we have not been able to talk with him.”

Authorities believe the 22-year-old was last known to be in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Several detectives are looking into leads, digital forensics, finances and anything that could give them some answers as to where Petito could be.

“There is enough information that we have that we are very concerned for her health and well-being,” Taylor said.

Father of Gabby Petito says he never saw any ‘red flags’ ahead of her disappearance – NewsNation Now (Sept. 14)
<snipped>

Joe Petito, Gabby’s father, said he never saw any red flags in Laundrie’s character ahead of Gabby’s disappearance.

“You know no dad wants to see their daughter cry. If I would have seen a red flag, you know I’d be all up in arms,” he said.

However, Joe Petito said he doesn’t understand why Laundrie wouldn’t want to voluntarily speak with officers about his daughter’s disappearance.

“You would think someone would want to cooperate with (police) if you love them and you call them your fiancee. That just makes sense to me. But you know, I guess he had a different idea,” he said.

Joe Petito said he hopes people keep Gabby at the top of their minds and continue to circulate photos of her. He also encouraged recent travelers to scour their photos for photos that may include her.

Florida police visit home of Gabby Petito's boyfriend; Her father says he will 'do anything to find her' - FOX 13 (Sept. 14)
<snipped>

Police in Florida were seen dropping off a pink envelope at the home of missing woman Gabby Petito‘s boyfriend — as authorities say they’re preparing for the possibility that something "sinister" has happened to her.

[...]

FOX News reported that cops dropped off an envelope outside Laundrie’s Florida home Tuesday.

North Port police said they attempted to talk to Laundrie, but were told to leave by his parents, who put them in touch with his attorney.

North Port police spokesperson Josh Taylor said they are not ruling anything out, including that Gabrielle may not want to be found.

"We're hopeful that she's out there somewhere. People just sometimes don't want to communicate so that's certainly still a viable option," Taylor said. "But we have to prepare for something maybe more sinister."

[...]

Meanwhile, police have seized the converted van the couple had been traveling in from his home.

Fox News reported, the FBI was processing the van, looking for clues to Gabby's whereabouts but had not found any obvious signs of foul play.
