TPD looking for missing 32-year-old man

The Tallahassee Police Department's Special Victims Unit is seeking information about Derek Levy Parks, who was last seen in the 500 block area of North Monroe Street.

TPD says Parks is known to drive a red 2015 Chevrolet.

Americus Police may have identified missing Tallahasse man

AMERICUS, GA (WRBL) - The Americus Police Department may have identified the body of a missing man from Tallahassee, Florida that was reportedly on Sept. 14.

Tallahassee Police are waiting for the positive identification of the remains. Spokesman Damon Miller could not say whether there was a concern for his safety upon his disappearance.

Looks like a pretty dramatic loss of weight within the last year. 5'7 and 115 that seems very small.Perhaps a medical issue that could have caused him to self-harm. So sad.

I knew him years ago. I know 100 percent drugs were involved and he had recently showed out at the bar he frequented threatening to out sellers and told another to kill themselves. That happened right before he disappeared. Drugs+threats+mental health all played a part. I don't believe he would have killed himself. I think he threatened the wrong person

The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested two people in connection with a missing Tallahassee man who's remains were found this past September.
TPD says 24-year-old Jessie Daquan Price-Brown and 25-year-old Terrelle Lamar Price Brown have been arrested for the murder of 32-year-old Derek Levy Parks.

Two charged in murder of Tallahassee man booked into Leon County jail

Jessie Daquan Price-Brown, 24, and Terrelle Lamar Price-Brown, 25, were booked into the Leon County Detention Center on Tuesday after their transfer there from a jail in Fairfax, Virgina. No bond amount was listed.

Tallahassee man on trial for 2018 murder

Testimony is now underway in the murder trial of Terrelle Price-Brown.

He and his husband, Jessie Price-Brown, are both accused of killing Derek Parks in July 2018 and dumping his body in Americus, Georgia.

Arrest papers say the Price-Browns are a married couple who met Parks through a gay dating app called Grinder.

Prosecutors contend the two killed Parks in his Tallahassee apartment, rolled him up in the living room carpet and put him in the back of a U-Haul before driving across state lines to dump his body.

Arrest papers say Parks was likely strangled with a belt, which was still around his neck when his remains were found nearly two months after he disappeared.

Police contend the Price-Brown’s pawned several of Parks’ belongings and continued to drive his car after killing him. The car and the men were ultimately tracked down in Virginia.

Case now closed as couple accused in Tallahassee murder sent to prison

A couple accused of killing a Tallahassee man and dumping his body across state lines will both serve lengthy prison sentences.

Jessie Price-Brown entered a plea to second degree murder charges last week in the July 2018 murder of Derek Parks. Court records show he was sentenced to 30 years in state prison.

Price-Brown’s husband, Terrelle, is already serving a life sentence for Parks’ murder. Court records show Terrelle Price-Brown was found guilty of first-degree murder at his trial in August.

Jessie Price-Brown opted for a last-minute plea deal after agreeing to testify against him.
