Akhmetov: Mariupol's metal plants won't work under Russian occupation. Ukraine’s richest oligarch told the Wall Street Journal that his Azovstal and Ilyich plants, now closed, would not operate if Mariupol gets occupied. Together they employ 40,000 people.

Is this why they won't let the people of Mariupol leave? And why they are starving and freezing them into submission? Maybe because Russia wants Mariupol, but it also wants the Mariupol people to run the docks and the metal plants?

I’ve said from the first day that we have someone close to Putin who is key. He’ll kill Putin when the time is right.

Why, at this point in the invasion by Russia, are we accusing Russia of War Crimes? Does anyone think Putin gives a rat's patootie about being accused of war crimes? This accusation will only serve to inflame this maniac who is now threatening nuclear war! There is a time for that type of accusation, and IMO it is not at this point! JMO

With respect, I believe you are contradicting yourself. Does he not "give a rat's patootie about being accused of war crimes?" Or, as your next sentence states, will "this accusation only serve to inflame this maniac?"

IMO we should call him as we see him---he's a war criminal. Putin IMO has already planned what he intends to do next, and being afraid of ruffling his feathers is what he wants. He despises weakness and will prey on those who fear him. IMO name-calling him or not, either way, he intends to do what he intends to do. He's created a very vast machinery to accomplish his domination goals, and if nuclear war should come, he will have secreted himself with his family in his Siberian underground city, or another place we don't even know about.

When I said he doesn't give a rat's patootie, I mean he knows he will not be held accountable in a court of law, for example like Nuremberg,--

Germany’s coordinator for transatlantic relations says Europe faces a “watershed moment” after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

In a special interview, Michael Link says Vladimir Putin has created an “increasingly paranoid dictatorial structure… more and more directed to one person.” He says the West missed warning signs going back at least to 2007. And he sets out the urgency of Europe paying more for its own defense – and the US shoring up its democracy.

This could be a huge "game changer". Take the war to Russia, and start bombing their cities.

A few time a day, tv news reports Putin's threat of using nuclear weapons in his war again Ukraine.
This leaves me wondering exactly how he would do that? Anyone know?

You go first!

My husband believes that is what would trigger Putin to go Nuke. And then, pull the United States into the mess.

So...do we want Ukraine to be able to bomb Russian cities? Tough choice.

Who is Russia's top field commander in Ukraine? The US isn't sure.

Without a top, theater-wide commander on the ground in or near Ukraine, units from different Russian military districts operating in different parts of Ukraine appear to be competing for resources rather than coordinating their efforts, according to two US defense officials.

Units participating in different Russian offensives across Ukraine have failed to connect, these sources say, and in fact, appear to be acting independently with no overarching operational design.

The interference at the 1:00 - 1:10 mark is great.

That day can’t come soon enough for me. And I’m not sorry.

Holy smokes. That was an incredible video essay.
