NYPD: Missing 13 year old last seen in Mariners Harbor - SI Live
The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 13-year-old female named Ariyah Garcia-Smith.

She was last seen leaving her home on Wright Avenue in Mariners Harbor on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023 at approximately 9 a.m.

She is described as 5′5“ tall, weighing at 100 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, camouflage shorts, and black Crocs.

A photo of the missing person was provided by the NYPD.

Anyone with information in regard to the whereabouts of this missing person is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). In the 2022 article, the mom says her daughter was groomed online by a man.

If so, I wonder if the man gets paid on the 10th of every month because she seems to disappear around that date, then the reports hit the news a day later?? Does she think they are "dating" and he picks her up on paycheck day?

I also wonder if the child returns home or is found by LE and brought home.

I hope for a safe return.

Still, seems like there is most definitely a problem at home that is not being addressed. I truly hope Ariyah will be found safely ASAP and can finally find help that she needs.
