Gardner Police lift shelter in place near Kelton Street after hours in search for Pennington​

Gardner police have canceled a shelter-in-place for residents on and around Kelton Street and Camp Collier at 9:50 p.m. more than four hours after it was issued.

The city sent a message to residents that reads in part: "Following an exhaustive search conducted by the Gardner Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police, the area has been deemed to be safe with no threat to public safety.
