My current theory is that in addition to door cam guy, someone else was involved who entered the house from a different door than the front. That person may have been familiar with the house and NG may have known the person and not initially been too alarmed, beyond the startle of being woken at 2am (maybe they had a compelling emergency story which she trusted at least initially).

My speculation only, based on my impression that the front door seems to not have had a forced entry. MOO

If there was an accomplice inside and it was someone NG knew, I don’t think the doorcam guy would have been masked, armed and tooled up the way he was, he’d have been just dressed normally and introduced as a friend/helper or something.

10 days ago, mainstream media outlets widely reported that there had been a forced entry into Nancy's house. Then the sheriff said during a press conference that law enforcement wasn't going to discuss whether there was a forced entry or not.

So the kidnappers could have forced their way into the house and that happening was reported by multiple news outlets.

And the front door only appeared visually to not have been forced, but no official report has said either way AFAIK.

Maybe it was but there was not much visible damage.

Wearing two masks is quite common for burglars . One like a tight ski mask / snood type often worn under a motorcycle helmet and the other a woollen balaclava. It keeps the balaclava in place to prevent slipping over the eyes and or the wool irritating the face

When the balaclava is removed ,the ski type mask remains in place until the perp is well clear as it covers things like hair colour and style and can distort the shape of the face

The feature I do notice is the shape of perps nose . When looking at the eye holes you can see the perp has a wide bridge and it's more prominent on the left side . His nose is not in a ski slope fashion but rather like a boxers nose

So I wonder was it previously broken .

The other feature I notice is even if a moustache is present he doesn't have a pronounced philtrum

If you observe the finger grip over the flowers you will see his real fingers are also narrow jmo

Again, the Sheriff asked for assistance. The FBI assisted. In the course of that assistance, the FBI discovered that elements existed that make this crime a violation of a federal statute or statutes, which then supersedes state laws for similar crimes. That means, by definition, that federal jurisdiction now applies and now leads. A federal judge issuing a federal warrant explicitly confirms that.

The law you reference is no longer germane to this case (if it was applied), and the only way it would be again (if it was used) is if or when federal jurisdiction is surrendered because of, for example, the FBI upon further investigation could not confirm, to a prosecutable degree, one or more elements that established federal jurisdiction. They would then 'give it back' to the state in which the crime occurred for the state to move forward (if the state has a similar statute).

The FBI, if requested again, would then assist.

JMO.

This logic is inherently flawed. A simpler example:

If these guys were involved in the ransom scheme, for instance, the FBI would have all sorts of authority and jurisdiction whether requested or not. They would be able to get a federal warrant for whatever involving that. Them doing so would not mean that Pima county is no longer leading the kidnapping investigation. It would not mean anything other than the FBI got a federal warrant for… something that is unclear.

We are in that situation now. We have no idea what was in the warrant or what crimes were alleged in it. It is completely premature to claim that the investigation is now being led by FBI.

And all of that is aside from the FBI already having federal jurisdiction in the first place.

Just my opinion here, but maybe all of this appearance of confusion with LE is because they are completely stumped and have resorted to this “sniffer scanner” technology. They get what they perceive as a “hit” and they raid that house, vehicle, etc. This could explain why none of what they’re doing is making any sense.

I agree that if the "sniffer scanner" technology is real and is being used by LE to try and find NG, this information should not have made the news. Not to be macabre, but won't this knowledge cause the perp or perps to "extract" the pacemaker and destroy it? This could be risky to the perps depending on where the body was and perhaps this is just a ruse by LE as others have said to try and get the perps to go to the body (assuming it is outside somewhere) and perform the "surgery". If the bosy is local, this would be very risky given the heightened awareness and surveillance of the area. It's strange to me though how everyone (and LE) are assuming that the body is local. It could be hundreds of miles away which would make this sniffer scanner technology fruitless if it exists at all. And assuming the body is located far away from Tucson, it would also be much less risky for the perps to extract the pacemaker if they were inclined to do so. But if the body is inside and with the perps, then extracting the pacemaker and destroying it would not be difficult and would effectively prevent this method of detection.

I knew the January 11th date was actually going to be important! I wonder who wrote the original Ring neighbors post saying that date which ended up being written off by LE.

Also this lists “west” twice and lists two different roads (La Cholla and Roller Coaster, the latter being near AG and SIL’s house) and doesn’t say a road to the east.

I do not know the answer to that. Inside or outside the range is small and probably based on the Bluetooth strength capability on the drone or phone trying to find her pacemaker. The pacemaker only gives a small range signal. But, this line of thought is focused on something unique to NG…. and IMO worth the try.

I agree. It’s not conspiracy. The feds have good reason to think that car was involved, hence the massive police presence last night. And if you look elsewhere online you can figure out the dealership who sold it recently and who owns that dealership and I think based on that you will see the feds are probably very, very close. Explains why it has been said this may go international. Tracking down that car was extremely important. If true there are powerful wealthy people involved and this will probably take a long time to prosecute.

Where would I be looking on line for info about the RR’s dealership then. If this is legitimate theory that supports impounding the car as a transfer vehicle. I am willing to be informed.

It does appear the front door was how NG was taken out, so disabling the camera would be important, if only for that.

So actually this makes a lot of sense they are working their way out.

Moving further away from the crime scene and moving back in time as far as dates of interest.

It's what I'd expect in a case like this. You would typically start with the location of the victims last known where abouts and the date they were last seen and work out from there.

I do wish they would have gotten to this point quicker as the longer it takes the less likely there is for a positive outcome.

I hope there wasn't a delay due to organization issues and lack of cooperation by all entities involved. Organization of information and tips and communication between all parties is such a huge key to solving these cases and solving them quickly.

I really wish they would have established a joint taskforce with multiple entities in the first day or two.

Based on what we know so far, I think the strongest lead investigators have is the clothing and gear visible in the security footage. Several of those items have already been linked to Walmart, and that may turn out to be a major mistake on the part of the suspect.

Walmart is known for meticulous inventory records and extensive camera coverage, and they also tend to cooperate closely with law enforcement. That means investigators can identify the exact SKUs for those items, then pull every transaction involving them across stores. From there, they can look for receipts showing one or more of the same items purchased together, which starts to narrow down potential buyers.

Even if the suspect did not buy everything in a single transaction, all is not lost. If they were careless enough to pay with a card, investigators can tie those receipts to the specific card and then check whether that card was used to purchase any of the other items separately, at different times or locations. If the suspect paid cash, the receipts still exist at the SKU and time‑stamp level. In that case, investigators can correlate the time of purchase to in‑store camera footage and try to identify anyone who matches the build, clothing, or movements seen in the original surveillance video.

In a case like this, the clothing is not just a disguise; it’s a breadcrumb trail that can be followed backwards through a system that logs nearly every sale and watches nearly every aisle

These guys don’t seem like rocket scientists but it doesn’t take a ton of brain cells to know that it can likely be blocked by a Faraday Shield. Even better yet they could draw out the suspects by tracking searches online for how to block the pacemaker signal or how to create a Faraday Shield.
