“They waited until they arrived back in Arkansas as they had researched the age of consent for sexual activity after he picked her up in Arkansas. It would have been legal to engage in sexual activity with her,” Kuhnz said.

Victim A has disclosed that they engaged in various types of sexual activity in Oregon,” Kuhnz testified.

16 to his 40, never mind that she's pregnant. Taking her out of state to do that should add a nice, airtight conviction for felony kidnapping to his illustrious resume.

Oh, and also, I don't believe him.

Not guilty? By my calculations the baby must be due imminently and surely a DNA test will confirm his guilt IMO

I know it sounds preposterous but it is simply procedural. The government needs to prove its case. Now I think the evidence is overwhelming and there is no chance he actually gets acquitted, but we have to let the process play out.

If Day goes to trial will SF testify?
I'm confused about the trial schedule.
She is 18 now.
Curious if there's any local FB posting about her, like did she keep her baby?
If she did GD may have some kind of parental rights and/or SF could bring the baby to visit him while he's incarcerated.

Found this and will keep looking.
We all couldn't have missed it..including the media.

"MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A federal trial has been delayed to January of 2026 for a man accused of kidnapping a pregnant teen from Beaver Dam, online court filings show.

A document filed on Aug. 28 in the U.S. District Court of Eastern Arkansas states the trial for Gary Day, which was set to begin on Tuesday, Sept. 9, has been pushed back to Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026.'

Well hopefully not (about the parental rights).

There are 12 circumstances that parental rights can be involuntarily terminated. The one "Parenthood as a Result of Sexual Assault" would seem to apply here.
