Nothing I can find in the media about this poor child. Hopeful for a quick resolution. For reference, this area is about half an hour outside of Atlanta.

the recon looks to have a bit of strabismus (i.e. wall-eyed) but given the remains were skeletal i think thats just accidental. The eyes are interesting... kind of has a bit of an epicanthic fold that gives a unique look. wonder if this is based on the unknown part of the ethnicity.

Hoping I am just missing it somehow, but I'm not seeing anything relative to this child's case on Rockdale County SO Facebook page, GBI, or NCMEC. (?)

Oh, that's a heartbreaking sketch. Rest in peace, kiddo, I hope someone out there recognises you

The NamUs page is not available anymore. The resolved cases is the same, so they probably hid it from public view. Given the lack of information about the case I am wondering if it wasn't supposed to be public just yet.

I'm hoping beyond all that means they have a good idea or know who this little one is.

I hope so too, but there’s something bugging me. How long would it usually take before commissioning an artist for a forensic rendering? In this case it took a little over two months for the child to be entered into NamUs and the rendering had already been created. Since the purpose of the drawing is to generate leads, I would think they don’t have much to work with? Pure speculation on my part though..

I had sent a tip on NAMUS a few days ago in regards to this case and thinking it could be Codi Bigsby. I'm not sure if it is him and that's why they deleted it as I had sent that tip a few days prior to the page going down.

Photo of Codi for comparison.

If the recon is anything to go by, it looks close.

There does not appear to be any recent updates or a reinstatement of his NamUs profile. It would be interesting to know if his case remains hidden from public view for investigative reasons or if he has potentially been identified. Children are notoriously difficult to work with from a forensic anthropological perspective, especially when remains are skeletal.

I agree with other commenters that he appears to have upward slanting of the eyelids, and prominent folds of skin between the eye and the nose in the sketch (similar to what is seen in Down Syndrome), but I wouldn't consider that a definitive characteristic since artistic interpretations can vary. However, if those features are accurate, it implies a child who likely had a medical or educational paper trail, which makes the lack of a missing persons report even more suspicious.

Also, it appears that the intersection of Honey Creek and Tucker Mill Road sits in a transition zone that suggests the person responsible had at least a functional familiarity with the Conyers area. While Honey Creek Road is a busy secondary artery for commuters heading toward GA-20 and I-20, Tucker Mill itself is significantly more residential and quiet. A complete stranger to the county would likely stay on the main highway, but someone who knows the local cut-throughs would recognize that turning off onto a road like Tucker Mill offers the dense tree cover and "pockets" of privacy needed for a disposal site while remaining only minutes away from a major getaway route. It feels less like a random act and more like a calculated choice of a location that is accessible but invisible to the casual observer.

Moved to 'Identified' and 'Resolved' as the NamUs page has been removed.

I am not sure he’s been identified. The resolved cases for Georgia did not go up when his case was removed. Also, I find the timing of the removal strange, as they removed it the same day the news outlets began covering the case.

The most recent article that I could find is dated February 3, a few days after the removal, and they quote the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office:

"The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office is aware of the case involving Codi Bigsby. We are communicating with Hampton PD to determine if there is a connection. Beyond that, we are unable to release any other information due to this being an ongoing and active investigation."

The part saying they are in contact with Hampton PD to determine if there’s a connection sounds to me like they didn’t have an ID yet. JMO

If the NamUs post comes back up again, then there's no problem moving this thread to "Unidentified".
