January 26, 2026- Brunswick Police Department and the Maine Warden Service are searching for Rebecca Dorr, 56 years old.

It is believed that she went missing from her residence on 272 Maine Street in Brunswick sometime between 3:00 PM on Sunday, 1/25, and the morning of Monday, 1/26.

Rebecca is believed to be wearing a green jacket and knit hat. She is believed to have left her residence on foot.

Anyone who has seen her or has information pertaining to her whereabouts is asked to call Brunswick Police Department at 207-725-5521, Ext. 1.

Due to the ongoing missing person search, residents may notice a larger-than-normal police presence throughout town. We are being assisted by state agencies, including K-9 teams and snowmobile units.

We are respectfully asking the public to please stay off town hiking trails at this time, as search and rescue operations will be conducted in multiple locations.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Wardens said Dorr has mental health issues and is believed to be wearing a green jacket and knit hat.

Here is the article from when she was found safe after going missing 5 months ago. Attached is a google map, with the google red marker showing her home street address location and the red square I drew on in "paint" showing where she was located last time.

I hope they've focused on this area, in case she was drawn back there for any reason. Missing Brunswick woman found safe

Just read that they've paused the search -- say because of weather/snow.

Her NamUs page has been removed but the resolved cases for Maine stayed the same. It's probably only hidden from public view for now.

The Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department announced Friday that trails on the Town Commons will be closed Saturday and Sunday as authorities continue to search for a missing woman.

The department said the Maine Warden Service is being assisted by other search and rescue organizations, including K-9 teams and snowmobile units, in the effort to locate Rebecca Dorr, who went missing from her Maine Street home sometime between the afternoon of Jan. 25 and the morning of Jan. 26.

Sadly, Rebecca has been found deceased. Investigation remains open but authorities state that her death is not considered suspicious.

BRUNSWICK, Maine —
A Brunswick woman who had been missing since January was found deceased Saturday morning following a months-long search, authorities said.

Dorr’s body was located Saturday morning in a wooded area near a network of trails by members of the Maine Warden Service and MASAR.
