Probably won’t happen until the suspect is charged. ImoHope all guns have now been confiscated from the property as a precaution and for safety of police and other personnel.

It's possible I suppose that at some point she grew suspicious and voiced those suspicions to the police without having any knowledge per se.jmoMy feeling is that if she knew, she would be deemed complicit. Unless she has finally gone to the police with different information (turned someone in) and that is why it is now a major crime.
imo
That’s the problem, though - you’re relying on QLD laws. In SA, search warrants were much much harder to obtain before the November 2025 laws passed.JLZ, I am only going on Qld laws, but police usually turn up unannounced with a warrant. Police only divulge to the person hearing the reasons for needing a warrant eg magistrate or JP. They don't want to alert anyone so evidence can be destroyed. Let's just hope there is justice for Gus really soon.
When they say "three people" I assume they actually mean three adults?
I don't know. Can't really assume anything. We don't know. Children are people too.
He could have said adults, if he meant three adults.
My brain is all over the shop at the moment so apologies if I just didn't read something properly before - but is this new information or is it a mistake/typo by the DM?
Fielke confirmed the boy's grandmother, mother and younger brother had been on the property at the time Gus disappeared
It doesn't mention the other grandparent?

Police investigating missing Gus Lamont identify suspect
Officers have described the person in question as someone who lives on the remote property where the boy vanished, but stressed it is not one of his parents.www.dailymail.co.uk
Horses Mouth is the best source! It is bad reporting …. They do mean 3 adults, but as you can listen here to what the Detective Inspector says at 27:18 (in the presser …..) he lists the four persons that were at the home at the time… “Gus’ grandmother, grandparent, the mother, and the younger brother”
Just to clarify …
I asked this a while back, as it’s normally a piece of information that is given to media by police.I’m sorry, it’s a huge thread, but when was Gus last seen by his father or anyone besides the mother and the grandparents in person or by video chat (proof of life)? Has this been reported in a news source?
If Jessica and Josie were shearing sheep miles away from the house, as stated, they were still on the property, so that does not clear much, apart from clearing that there was no one else but family around that day.I am just reading The Advertiser (local statewide MSM) and it says that Fielke stated that Josie and Shannon Murray, Gus’ mother Jessica and Gus’s younger brother Ronnie were all on the property when Gus disappeared.
I am not sure what that means though. The property is huge. It could mean the original story is correct. It could mean that it is not.
“Gus's grandparent Josie Murray is understood to have hired top Adelaide criminal lawyer Andrew Ey, while the youngster's grandmother Shannon Murray is being represented by prominent city defence lawyer Casey Isaacs.”
Both grandparents have engaged lawyers.
Guessing station will possibly be on the market soon to pay for both grandparents lawyers.

I don't think there would be a helicopter at Yunta, maybe Port Augusta. But is it free to come, or busy somewhere else? How long before they get on to a pilot? And a doctor?Agree, however a chopper and medical team can also be deployed by calling the ambulance on 000, especially in remote area accidents …. ( this is correct in QLD so I would assume also the same in other states within Aus)
jmo
Yes, confirmed family members were the only ones on the property, but LE has already stated that the parents of Gus were not involved. So that only leaves the 2 grandparents as potentially involved. Perhaps only one of them, who knows?BBM. I'm not sure what you mean--but there's this:
[Det Supt Fielke] confirmed family members were the only people on the Oak Park Station property at the time of Gus Lamont's disappearance.

Ok I’m circling back to Jason.
I’ll admit I jumped the gun a bit. I assumed he was suggesting abduction, which is one theory I can’t get onboard with.
Turns out there is a longer version of the interview which offers a lot more insight.
Jason’s careful language is compelling,
Firstly, he seems like a good guy. I believe every word he said. He absolutely has the experience and knowledge to share his findings with confidence.
The following quote peaked my interest:
“Hopefully the family will be able to point us in the direction where they think he went, or somewhere he might be.”
His tone changes as he delivers his final message and “direction” was not a query - it was a demand.
MOO
Depends whether they meant "property" or "homestead".My brain is all over the shop at the moment so apologies if I just didn't read something properly before - but is this new information or is it a mistake/typo by the DM?

There's another possibility as well. One that I'm leaning towards...I'm of the opinion that Gus died under Shannon's care while Josie and Jessica were working on the station elsewhere.
When Josie and Jessica came back. Shannon has told Josie in private what happened. This would prove that Jessica never knew about what actually happened.
How could the baby die under Josie's care without Jessica knowing?
Both grandparents called the police for the initial search.
When the police left, Josie moved the body elsewhere while shannon was at home with Jessica.
Ours is on standby 24/7 with both pilot and Medical Team, so unless they are on another job they will come …. They will also divert if there is a more serious/urgent job somewhere else … a child in great need (paediatric trauma) would out triage most other emergencies…..I don't think there would be a helicopter at Yunta, maybe Port Augusta. But is it free to come, or busy somewhere else? How long before they get on to a pilot? And a doctor?
