I’m confused, the headline says “Suspect named…” yet there is no reference to a suspect being named??

I think maybe the "suspect named: is click bait, to get you to click the link to discover what the person's name is.

Then the let down because there is no name in the article.

Agree….. Police have some evidence that can be “triangulated” (for want of a better word)
by other hard evidence eg technology, data, etc..

Did you notice in the presser that the Det Inspector mentioned “a number of discrepancies and inconsistencies “ (21:58 in the Presser linked above)

IMO
I did notice. I’m pretty sure it’s all unravelling right now. iMO

Can we refer to JM and SM either by their initials or their first names? A mod posted about this earlier today.

Please see this post

That image with all of the identifiable beings, from the drone imagery, is really something.

Very specific identification of all the beings.

13 detections of interest, as well. Presumably, those areas were then checked - perhaps in their January search.

imo
I hope I'm not the millionth person asking this but I'm unable to watch the video with my full attention - does anyone have any screenshots or stills that aren't included in MSM articles? I'd love to see 'em.

The following is all my opinion.

So the story of wandering off is simply not true. And Josie and Shannon are suspects.

Been saying all along this poor young lad never was on a dirt pile playing, and never wandered off. The whole story concocted.

I think of the danger folks were placed in, the scope of the searches, the money and time invested, drones, choppers, foot searches, horses, draining pond, searching mine shafts, advanced technological studies of terrain, etc. etc.

Violent reaction to reporters snooping around makes sense now. Shotgun barrel being raised in anger. Stern warnings to have no one on the property.... please respect the grieving family, etc. etc.

All because of a lie.

It's repulsive.

The following is my opinion.

I suspect an accidental death and cover up. I would tend toward Gus having had an unfortunate accident while unsupervised but part of me can't eliminate the possibility of his death the result of a violent rage of some persuasion...and a cover up.

Why separate lawyers?

Gus’s grandparent Josie Murray is understood to have hired criminal lawyer Andrew Ey, while the youngster’s grandmother Shannon Murray is being represented by defence lawyer Casey Isaacs, the Courier Mail reports.

IMO a criminal lawyer is someone representing a person in a criminal case while a defence lawyer specifically represents the accused

LE believe Gus didn't wander off and wasn't abducted. That leaves only death and coverup of said death. Sigh, it's taken a long long time to get to this point. Given that mother and Josie were 10K away I'd say that leaves Shannon as the only adult present when Gus went missing making her the logical unnamed suspect.

It has been revealed a member of Gus Lamont's family at Oak Park Station is no longer co-operating with police as they continue to probe his disappearance.

It is understood Gus grandmother, grandparent, mother and younger brother were on the property at the time.

Gus Lamont's parents are not suspects in the investigation.

That is a good point. I did not pick up on the difference in lawyers. SM could be the current suspect, or alternatively anticipates becoming one. Jmo

She will have to defend herself if she knew what happened and lied about it so perhaps a lawyer to argue she was perhaps threatened or felt she had to for her own safety.

That is just the story the family gave so who knows if there was any truth to it.

If there were more members of the family involved I would think LE would say they suspect members of the family, not one specific one who's timeline has inconsistencies. MOO the sole adult who was present and claims to have been the last to see him is the one LE are looking at.

I am wondering why NOW LE chose to share this info. Inconsistencies with that individuals story would or should have been apparent early on.
