I don’t see anything to point to anything nefarious. Hearing her choked up in the video was very heartbreaking.
There is plenty.

- Her husband was the last person to see NG at the home (possibly with AG in the car)
- AG received the call that mom didn’t go to church, but mom might have attended virtually
- AG went to the house and took an hour to call police, despite blood being in the house and the camera being gone
- As someone else pointed out, AG read that statement like a eulogy

I also don’t think a 30-40 YO man would call it “bitcoin”. That sounds like something a 50+-YO woman or offshore scammer would use. And I don’t think an offshore scammer would have the means to kidnap NG.

This is my line of thinking as well. TMZ has been very prominent lately, especially on YouTube, due to their coverage of the Nick Reiner case. Because of that, I’m skeptical that the so-called ransom letter is legitimate. I don’t believe the individual demanding Bitcoin is actually connected to NG’s abduction.
For all of TMZ’s flaws they are very well connected in media circles and rarely get things wrong. They are also very well connected with police departments (at least in LA) which is how they get celebrity death scoops before anyone else. They have be ethically dubious when it comes to how far they go, but they never post things that are straight up made up.

There was a vigil at a church last night but I didn’t hear if it was NG church. It was shown live on Ctv last night.

Banfield also made a huge point to say how credible her source was. We shall see I guess. Did you find it odd that FBI sent the ICAC squad to BIL house yesterday? ICAC - Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program and Agents Seize Multiple Items From Home of Savannah Guthrie's Sister Annie and Law Enforcement Agents at Annie Guthrie's House Amid Search For Nancy
ICAC being involved isn't unexpected, as they have specific skills when it comes to digital communications. That agent was also carrying a cellebrite tool, which is designed to download phones.

My understanding is they'd want a fresh image of the family's phones prior to the ransom video going out, so they can focus on what changes after (incoming communications, etc).

and i specifically didn't mention names when i said there had been others.....

edited to add: i was adding that to say that is WAS a possibility as a reason as it happens quite often. not trying to be political.

Correct it wasn’t directed to you. I made the statement in general so a whole new subject wasn’t introduced here,

NG church is not zoom just live stream and no way to know if she was watching. I think church was an outing she did on Sunday and yes during covid and maybe long after watched in TV but no doubt attending regularly now. That is my guess.
It is my guess as well that NG was attending church regularly. Also, imo she might have been driving herself to church and receiving some assistance there to get in to the church and her pew.

I know everyone is absolutely dissecting and analyzing every single part of the statement, but when Annie said "We are always going to be merely human—just normal human people" that makes me think the letter stated something about SG's fame/celebrity and they are trying to downplay it. Pair that with the letter being sent to TMZ...seems like there's some obsession with celebrity there.

OR

it's all a farce and a purposeful misdirection to make the perp look like some unhinged celebrity obsessed person when that isn't the case.

i don't know which one i'm leaning towards.

My understanding from yesterday's posts is that the pacemaker is connected to a device, and once out of range, it is no longer detected.
Unfortunately, my understanding is that the device connects via Bluetooth. If you are not in range (usually meaning a limited number of feet in distance) you will be unable to connect to the device. I hope I’m wrong.

While I am sure they had looked at Nancy's phone, they may not have imaged it, it was also likely with the family.

I don't see that at all. Have no idea who LE thinks falls under the umbrella of suspicion, but they are probably pursuing all realistic possibilities at this point. JMO.
Exactly.

Guys, I think that moonbeam here is allowed to have their opinion that NG's abduction was potentially politically motivated due to the daughter's perceived political views. That is the real debate here, not whether or not SG leans one way or another. JMO. 🤷🏼🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♀️
The issue is not having an opinion about a potentially political motivation. It is the characterization of SG being “rude” and asking questions that comes across as a rhetorical statement in which SG’s “rudeness” is a component of the motivation. We can debate all day about SG’s interviewing demeanor but that is unhelpful IMO.

SG is far from being a Don Lemon type of journalist, she reports on a variety of of stories and thus the idea that a political motivation for kidnapping her mother is a reach. I’m not saying it’s not possible, just not likely.

I don’t think anyone has a problem considering the possibility, again, it’s the criticism of SG as an aggravating factor that is “rude” IMHO.

Well Ashley Banfield said this and continues to double down. She is not backing down. She’s a real journalist and real source. Where there’s smoke… you know the rest

I think her source didn't really offer anything profound, but rather a fairly common observation that LE always leans on and thoroughly investigates the last person or persons who see a victim. The source could've misinterpreted all of that activity and innuendo as a hard lead.

Could be wrong on that, though. Time will tell.

JMO.

And whil

I actually think that’s the first thing they would have done, even prior to downloading the family’s phones (especially sister/husband).

They’d want to know Nancy’s last activity, location history, etc.

Until the SIL is cleared as a suspect by police, no one should be ruling him and Annie out. Maybe they will clear them today, maybe not…
... or he could be the buffer similar to Rob Misleh -- brother-in-law of the Tepe murders...

he's never been named, so he can't be "cleared".

It's really not that uncommon for initially reported details to later be shown as false in these cases, even when the details are reported as coming from LE. So even if the Daily Mail report is true, it doesn't necessarily mean anything about the guilt of these family members in question.
things vary from story to story. Don't read that much DM since they are paywall but on some stories they are good on breaking news. On this story TMZ seems to have the most news that is verified after they put it out there.

I think it is VERY helpful. The absolute hate towards her since that interview is shocking.

This phone call to Annie is a bit odd. If this friend from church was concerned enough over NG not in attendance, why didn't he/she go over to the house themselves? It seems to me that this person who had Annie's phone number must also be quite a good friend.

Had they gone to NG's home, they would have seen the blood outside the front door and called the police themselves.

Maybe it's nothing, but it seems a bit odd in an already odd case.
Released info is sparse-maybe Annie got the call from an unfamiliar number and went over. Did she try to call her mom?Annie’s phone plays a role in all of this, so I understand why it would be taken to verify the sequence of events. If someone called me as a friend of my Mom’s, I might think I just wasn’t paying attention to who my Mom’s friends were, and played along as if I knew them. So much we don’t know regarding the circumstances.

the body language of the family yesterday was interesting but not much can be read into it due to the situation they are in. They really need to clear SIL and by association Annie today if they have been investigated and found to not have anything to do with it. Absent that rumors will swirl. If I were AG and her partner I would demand unless they just can't be cleared.
