Perhaps this has already been discussed and dismissed, I only caught part of the news conference today with the sheriff and FBI & my ears perked up when I just learned NG took an Uber to her daughter’s house that evening.That could lead to something, maybe JMO

A couple of thoughts along this line:

How does the $$$ assist you if can't spend it? So many people will continue to consider you a top suspect that it limits your ability to capitalize on the crime.
Was this person coerced to assist via a threat to life or other family members?
Is there an immediate need for $$$ so large that it can not be obtained is a less risky way?

Approximation gives a higher likelihood of participation but there as a few counters to this.

I did not know it at the time, but found out that my brothers would drop off my elderly Dad at the curb and let him get into the house by himself. He walked at the time with a cane, and lived alone. My family had a habit of blinking the porch light once inside as a sign we were okay. Of course, anyone who watched would know, and could be lying in wait inside and tell him to blink the light.

IMO he's the perp of choice because he's a bit of an outsider, from a group typically including the perp and it was said he drove her home from the party. I wasn't ruling him out entirely before but this camera thing makes me think it wasn't planned, or well planned.

Regarding the length of time the intruder was in the home (41 minutes iirc), perp may have sat her down to make demands, give away passwords or whatever financial info, made threats, promised safety if she complied and kept her mouth shut etc before harming her and taking her away. Why would the perp remove her? He didn't get what he wanted so devised this ransom plan.
Just thoughts.

My opinion and thoughts...
I'm beginning to wonder if she actually made it home Saturday night. Technically the pacemaker disconnected from her phone. But that doesn't mean she was in the house when it disconnected.

Honestly, I can't imagine someone kidnapping a senior citizen with heart issues over their adult child's political views. Anger over politics seems to inspire more direct violent action. Against the specific person with those views, rather than someone they love. To me, kidnapping is generally for money or control. Prevent someone from doing something, make someone do something, or to get money from them. JMO

I think she is not on the property- didn't the police use dogs?

I probably was right with my thought about anticoagulant. I missed a lot with work.

But if she was, and the kidnappers didn't factor it in, sadly, a stroke or any other hemorrhagic event could have happened. So the abductors may be stuck with an old ill woman.

I think they are using minors for the "real" ransom notes. The minors may not fully understand the degree of own involvement.

Regarding ransom dates- I think it’s possible they asked for proof of initiation of a wire transfer to an exchange, 1-3 days, then once finalized you’d have to initiate a transfer to another wallet- 10 minutes to 6 hours. Moving millions doesn’t happen fast I don’t think, unless you already have it in bitcoin.

Or they are dumb/weird fake ransom askers.

He would know how many there are and where and either avoid them or break them one after another, within a minute or so. Even without much pre-planning that gap in the timeline is too big for me.
