How about Nancy's kids pushing for the sale of her home several months down the road?
So who are the trustees of the revocable trust?

That's the issue though. It's not established that she was taken alive by force, just because there are blood drops.

Blood drops alone can't tell you if she was alive as she was being removed, nor can they tell you she was dead at the time.

Calling it a kidnapping is putting out a theory of the crime, and theories need to follow the evidence, not get ahead of it.
I'm thinking her heart must have been beating when she left the house, under whatever means, because they said her pacemaker lost contact with the phone rather than it stopped transmitting, or that it transmitted any problems.

That's an interesting point and I wondered that myself. My siblings and I have been married for so many years, I'd want all the spouses there around us for support.
Spouses can be around to support while also not being featured on camera in a video plea from Nancy's children. For one to be happening does not require the second. JMO

Good morning.

Please note that BollywoodShaadis is not an approved source.

Just imagine waking up, pouring your coffee, minding your own business, and suddenly your name and personal history are blasted across the internet because one outlet decided to label you a suspect in the biggest case in the country. That kind of damage can’t be undone.

This is a kidnapping. As grim as things may look, Nancy Guthrie could still be alive. Posting the name of an unconfirmed suspect could get Nancy killed. A reckless headline or a podcaster chasing clicks is not worth that risk.

Naming suspects after a murder has been officially confirmed is one thing. Publicly accusing someone while there is still a possibility the victim is alive is something else entirely.

I just have an underlying feeling that this all seems a bit contrived, created. The ransom element seems very odd to me in this situation. Yes Savannah is definitely rich, but in terms of real wealth she’s actually small potatoes. This “kidnapper” has had the ability and skill to plan a capture of NG and keep her hidden while also simultaneously communicating with a television station (TMZ)? All that planning, skill and ability and you choose NG as your victim? It all feels very odd in my opinion. Thats as much as I’ll elaborate right now:)

She lived there for some 40 years and bought the house in the 5 figures. $1m today is just the appreciation over time.
Good point!

It's a $1M dollar home, so I imagine a lot of nice stuff. Artwork? Antiques? Jewelry?
Yes if she had valuables along those lines, someone might break in and take it.

But robbers don't usually stop to kidnap or kill people. Robbery is a business crime, not personal. And kidnappers don't usually stop to rob a house. It is a business crime like robbery.

I supposed it could be a robbery gone wrong. But then I think we are talking amateur or first time robbers.

Older people often do. I found $30,000 in cash tucked in various places in my mom's house a few years ago. Took it straight to the bank. Another friend found $25,000 in his dad's various coat pockets (dad was a musician who got paid in cash after gigs).
$30K in cash could certainly be a motive for a home robbery.

Mugshot of a man with short, dark, spiky hair, a red cherry earring, and a leopard print collar.3
Derrick Callella was arrested and charged for sending phony ransom text messages to the Guthrie familyCredit: X/MattFinnFNC

''Callella, a Los Angeles man in his mid-forties, allegedly took advantage of the horrifying abduction and text Guthrie’s daughter Annie and son-in-law Tommaso Cioni demanding payment in exchange for the return of the 84-year-old.''
“Did you get the bitcoin were [sic] waiting on our end for the transaction,” the message sent to Annie and Tommaso read.
Officials say that three minutes after these texts were sent, he then made a nine-second call to an unidentified member of the Guthrie family.
According to the complaint, Callella made contact soon after Nancy’s children pleaded with her potential captors in an emotional video, requesting proof of life.
Callella was tracked down after the family showed the text messages to cops who located him in California.''
the really weird thing about this is, if he was not connected to the other ransom request, and money was put in the bitcoin wallet, it would not go to him so how crazy is he? wants 15 mins of fame and jail ASAP?

I'm so pleased this thread is still in one piece at 310 pages
I remember when they would break into another thread after 60 pages or so
This, obviously, easier to follow
Thx to those responsible

PS
Interesting to me, and likely only me, that NG took an uber to her dinner date w/fam 4 miles away that fateful Sat evening
But, got a ride home from fam after

Let @tricia know....
she was asking for people to express their thoughts regarding longer threads.

Honestly, the investigation behind the scenes are being held from the public. I'm sure they have much more evidence gathered and probably have a suspect they are investigating,

This crime smells of family tragedy. Someone in the family knows who has kidnapped/hurt/murdered Nancy. It's so suspicious that it cannot be an random person. We've seen too many times in these cases it's usually the last person(s) who was with Nancy.

Most suspicious to me, why did Nancy take an Uber to Annie's house unless Annie couldn't pick her up. Was Annie and her husband having an argument that Nancy tried to help with so she called an Uber to get her to their house just 10 minutes away? Why couldn't Annie pick Nancy up? This is really bothering me. Whoever dropped her off at her house, Thomaso, had to have something to do with Nancy's disappearance. Maybe it was an accident and the family is trying to cover it up.

SG mentioned her mother lived in pain. Was someone ( an addict) aware of pain pills in the house? Had someone been badgering NG for some?

Yes someone getting POA right before the abduction would be a big red flag. It would obviously be a motive. But sometimes people think they are smarter than LE.
Getting financial and medical POA papers set up this late in the game (84 year old with medical issues) would be a major surprise for me, especially since she's on life-sustaining drugs and is in pain every day, but who knows.

I will say having a POA really isn't the green light to do whatever you want that people make it out to be. Some institutions accept it and allow you to make decisions, others side eye you and make you jump through hoops for weeks.

I was looking up the Frank Sinatra Jr. kidnapping/ransom case. He was gone for 2 days. Patty Hearst was kidnapped and held for 57 days. I would love for Nancy to still be alive but given her health issues and lack of medication, it doesn’t look good. So this could go on until they find the perp or a body. I hope it doesn’t go on too much longer. If more than one person was involved, or someone knows something, hopefully they crack and start talking. The FBI may have a person under surveillance.

There is a documented history of burglaries turning into sexual homicides. It’s rare, but it happens.

And that might explain why her body was removed, if she was not taken from the house alive (forensic evidence).

my mom once joked about all the blood stains in her house because my dad bled sooooooooooo much even with the tiniest of scratches!
Agreed, my husband and our Ralph Lauren sheets…We have boxes and boxes of bandaids, nope, goes to bed with cuts.

Another theory-

FBI is obviously taking over case as evidenced by Sheriff having to be told by his wife that the family plea video was on insta.

Let’s say AB source is FBI related. Why would they want it leaked? My thoughts-

•Watch POI and see response
•Prompt conversations with family or spouse. -wiretaps
•Force or pressure to provide evidence not able to get without a warrant- think cellebrite going into AG and TC’s home the other day.
•prompt others to report other “bad behavior”
•stave off other bad tips, ransoms, etc.

We have to remember the car was taken for evidence BEFORE this leak. (I get the necessity of that as well, just for prosecution and to be able to say you looked at all angles to defense).
—— How long would it take to process that car? DNA, Berla, all the things?
——In what scenario could this guy be responsible and the car not hold evidence —other than a hired hit?
From the way AB spoke about her source, I definitely think it is FBI and not sheriff department. I also think I agree with you that part of the reason the source might want to leak it is to observe the reactions and prompt conversations.

Has there been confirmation that the car was seized other than AB’s report or those referring to her report? If so I missed it and would appreciate a link if anyone has one.
